He had an accident in the family home at the age of eight which caused him to lose sight in his right eye. Think I recall him saying in an interview his mother was scraping wallpaper and him being your average kid, picked up the spare scraper and it went right across his eye. As for those making sick comments about his eye shame on you! Would be different if it was someone close to you there's really no place for this kind of stuff in football it's a disgrace that people act in such a disrespectful manner. He's been without the sight in that eye for a very long time and if he couldn't cut it as a footballer why is he playing it? His sight has nothing to do with how good or bad he is he'll have learned to adapt his style of play so that the impairment of vision is not a problem to him. He can't help what he's got and people taking the mickey certainly won't make life any easier for him! Expected better especially from our own fans!!
