I get the point that avoiding any fixture backlogs and/or allowing full focus on the league may help our title challenge...I think the reality is very different. Getting knocked out of cup competitions or performing poorly in Europe will likely add pressure and/or raise doubts about the team which I doubt ultimately helps us. Winning is a good habit to get into! Even from the financial side, qualifying from Europa group may be difference between adding an extra player in January or not.
Agree league is absolute priority though!
Think it might follow on from that as this was an appeal with CAS and looks like some sort of "plea bargain"...lose out on EL place this year but wipe slate clean, keep their team together and try push for CL qualification next year (which I think their main goal was to avoid a future CL ban).
"Having the hand/arm above shoulder height is rarely a ‘natural’ position and a player is ‘taking a risk’ by having the hand/arm in that position, including when sliding"...clearly no concept of biomechanics!
Ideally, how would you see the club not accept the punishment? Play the player whilst banned?
I am not sure really what options the club has, keep speaking out against & highlighting the double standards, keep challenging the bans but realistically what can we do?
...never defeated? We won the game so that is nothing to do with the complaint, indeed the best time to raise issues such as this as the easy sour grapes riposte holds no weight!
