  1. If this bias was againt Septic, their would be a coordinated mass complaint. Every media outlet would be swamped. Look at the referee baiting last season - it was reduced to institutional bigotry any time a decision went against them. This is a new season, we should make our voices heard and ensure we get a fair representation. Real Radio has just been bought by Dermot Desmond's company. Do you think we'll get a fair hearing there for much longer? Watch out DJ!
  2. Good point that their recent reporting goes against their charter. If they do not respond directly, is there a chance to dircet this to OFCOM? They have already apologised for misrepresenting the manager, can we refer them to the OFCOM if they don't change the misrepresentation of the club? Does that need to come from the club?
  3. Raging about the commentary yesterday - "New" Rangers my arse! I encourage everyone to compain or this will continue. My email: When listening to the Brechin /Rangers match yesterday, the commentator Rob McLean continually referred to Rangers as "New Rangers". This is inaccurate and in light of the recent developments that have affected all of Scottish football, this is an offensive reference. Rangers, the football club, is now owned by a new company. This is an undisputed fact. However, it is very disappointing that the national broadcaster continues to perpetuate the myth that the club itself is a new entity. There are many example of clubs that have changed the company that owns the club. "New" does not exist in the name of the club or the company that owns the club. Why the continual reference throughout the commentary? The pundit did not follow the example of the commentator so why did Mr McLean? There has been a recent history of compaints about bias in the BBC against Rangers. It was my impression that the BBC agreed to address those issues, especially in light of a formal apology issued by your organistation over the misrepresentation of the manager Ally McCoist. It is clear that those issues have not been fully addressed. The continual misrepresentation of the club in the opening game of a new season appears to indicate that much work remains. In your response, please highlight your actions to address these issues. I look forward to receiving your comprehensive response to this compaint and should you wish to discuss further, please contact me directly. Stay tuned for a full & detailed response. Don't hold your breath though......
  4. If the police investigation into Whyte proves the take-over was dodgy, the SFA will be imposing an illegal punishment on the victim of the crime. This is nothing but a vindictive campaign against a team that has supported the whole of Scottish football for over a century. The sooner the mhedia starts to expose this corrupt organisation and lets us get on with trying to rebuild a football club the better.
  5. We have a few promising kids but finished 5th in the youth league. As it stands, we do not have a hope of winning the league next year. Get the funds from Green's 20 backers, invest in the best kids we can and we will come back strong. It might not happen for a couple of years and there is a fair chance more will follow Wilson's route to the big bucks. If we can get a strong group of kids together for a couple of years we will have a hell of a good future ahead. Patience is needed!
  6. If they had any guilt about the way they treated us over the takeover, they would have reduced the penalty. This is all about sticking the boot in. The only response is to step up & get on the front foot. Stop all Scottish clubs playing in Europe next year. Liewell & Septic declared war on the referees & got away with it. Time for Rangers to show our strength and get some decent QCs to represent us in Europe
  7. If any member club sues it's national organisation or UEFA, no member club can play in European competition. That was established after the Sion challenge. It would be hard on Stuart McCall but it would rightly screw Septic & Liewell. More to th epoint, we have justification. The SFA admitted Whyte was unfit to run a football club but they did nothing. More to the point, they have penalised Rangers for the actions of an unfit owner. Where else do Rangers turn but to the governing body? Sue them! Take them through every sporting tribunal in Europe. Forget protests at Hampden and focus on what will bring real attention to the key point - the SFA have failed Rangers! Sue them!!!
  8. The SFA - belatedly - came to the decision the Craig Whyte was unfit to run a football club. That decision was taken only after we entered administration. The BBC programme provided clear evidence of a history of corporate dishonesty and likely criminal intent in October. Where was the duty of care of the custody of an SFA member????? Martin Bain and the Rangers board advised David Murray that Whyte did not have the finance to purchase the club. The police are currently investigating the purchase of the club. The SFA has a duty of care to protect their members from dishonest and negligent ownership of member clubs. This is the time to make the SFA accountable! Sue the SFA through the Court for Arbitration in Sport. If any member club sues their national body, NO MEMBER CLUB can take part in European competitions. Address the appeal to Liewell. We are getting penalised for the actions of an individual the governing body were too inept to address until the club was on it's knees. Time to hit back!
