  1. Sad and pathetic in resorting to calling people juvenile names when they have no point to back it up with. I'd look in the mirror at your own ignorance. You clearly think there isn't any money to spend, without any form of proof, and evidence that flies directly in the face of that. You are obviously content with second place in life.
  2. Wilson's contact book would rather bizarrely virtually only seem to extend to Belgium and England's second division.
  3. I wasn't taking it personally my friend, just wanted to point out that there are many who have thought the direction of the squad was worrying. The EL run was great, of course, but it did a lot to mask serious issues in planning, and as you say, player recruitment. People were smugly championing the resigning of players like Arfield by virtue of a goal against Livingston in the league opener, as if that was enough to justify signing on players who should have been moved on a season or two ago. And that is just one example. Things are now coming home to roost and people are getting an unfortunate reality check.
  4. To be fair, and I can only speak for myself, my points are far from a knee jerk reaction. I have had serious concerns (as have many I am sure) with the state of the squad and the trajectory of it over the last two to three seasons.
  5. The first paragraph says it all really. Full agreement. On the FFP, how many clubs have UEFA magicked up to put on that, though? And, more importantly, how many real world sanctions will follow through from it. We absolutely have to reduce the wage bill, though. Not in any small measure due to the fact there is an abundance of utter crap on it or players who spend half their time on the treatment table.
  6. I was always under the impression, likewise, that most of these loans, the theory behind them was that they would be converted to shares. Barring a compete collapse of a portfolio, one would imagine anyone with a major stake in the club (remembering of course it isn't a case of a majority shareholder a la Murray any longer) would be independently wealthy enough to stick to the gameplan.
  7. All true - but the stance from the board that we are paying back director loans rather than investing further, while attempting to pass off the last three to four transfer windows in the process, probably wouldn't be the most welcomed of messages.
  8. Obviously, however, the amount of income generated to our net spend is somewhat contrasting wouldn't you say? And on director loans, they can't defer those repayments until they think we are in a better state squad wise. Or if they do, then that is even more worrying. They either care more about their own loan being repayed or have a grossly misguided read on our current set of players.
  9. You're the one spouting pish that being on a UEFA watch list with half of Europe is so worrying and using it as a rational to push an agenda of spending bugger all.
  10. No, you repeatedly mentioned it and I continued to explain why what you were insidiously inferring was bollocks. No need to wriggle when the FFP isn't even a situation remotely pertaining in any dangerous way to us. As it isn't for the vast majority of clubs who have been involved. With the amount of revenue generated in the last one and a half seasons, you are happy with the level of investment in the last three or four windows?
  11. I think you should look up the term. You are the one banging on about us being, oh 'monitored'. As are about half the top clubs in Europe. In practical terms it means fuck all.
  12. I made up nothing. What else does 'we are being looked at by FFP' imply. Scare mongering and then changing the angle of your point and /or being deliberately obtuse.
  13. I had actually forgotten about Zungu. Thanks We should start introducing our youth who actually do look decent, this crop. I am not advocating for seven youth in up at the sheep, but there is absolutely no reason we should not be playing our promising youth team players over some of the utter shite / players who have had their day in this squad. I would be amazed if that happened, though.
  14. Changes should have been made gradually over the past three or four windows. This team has stagnated horribly and this season could be a complete and utter farce.
