  1. In the famous photo of the founding fathers I was wondering if anyone could explain to me the the star crest? How long was it used for, what did it mean? And why T. Vallance wears a different crest. Sorry if this is obvious I've just never known.
  2. Would be very happy with signing Allen, still has years ahead of him and has proven he can play at the SPL level.
  3. My missus reckons that Bougherra is a top bloke, posed for a photo had a chat was friendly.
  4. More like Ally's reluctance to use younger players unless they are in the best XI. Luca doesn't deserve a run in the first team on current form or ability. He will get some game time in the back end of the season like he did last season when the league is won. I'm sick of all the guys (not saying it's you) who think that you get a 17-18 year old and play them in the first team every week they will somehow become a world-beater, that's Football Manager or FIFA logic.
  5. this is such a stupid question.
  6. Would play Gasparotto before Faure at CB, with Jig next to him, Mitchell is better at RB than the Greek. I think the big thing will be the wages those two are on in comparison to our youth players. Luca and Andy probably on the same contracts as they were when we went into admin, so like maybe 500 a week. Whilst the greek is probably on 4-5k and Faure would have to be on 2-3k at least.
  7. Would take him within a second. It's about mixing youth and experience. Get him and nacho in, with McCulloch around also that's three old heads who act as both players, coaching staff and motivation. McCulloch takes the young defenders under his wing teaches them what it means to be a ranger. Gattuso takes the midfielders under his wing teaches them how to control a game and what it means to give your all for Rangers. And get nacho coaching the young lads up front showing them how to lead the line and showing them what bleeding blue looks like. How much better would gasparotto get with one on one training with jig. Imagine the player McLeod could be with gatusso as his mentor. Any little would be an unstoppable force with nachos advice. This would not be a waste of wages, Ian black is a waste of wages.
  8. Good night Charles presented himself well, spoke for longer than expected and wasn't afraid to answer any questions. What I got from it is that he has a strong feeling for changing the whole system that Rangers have. No longer will we waste money on trying to compete with the EPL sides, we cannot do that without running up huge debts instead he wants to model us on the dutch idea of youth. He spoke of wanting to mix 5-6 youth players with a few of those guys who are at clubs like barcalona, not playing, or even on the bench but the 22-23 year olds who won't be getting games and Rangers can buy them for 2m. Only 33% of the clubs revenue will go to players wages, currently it is less than that, and as the revenue grows so does the wage bill. His plan, he said was in three financial years to have the clubs revenue at 100m. That's 60m for topflight + europe 20m+ from merch and the rest through new forms of money making via media advances, and sponserships. He is still hopeful of the club leaving Scotland. He has several players lined up to sign on bosmans in Sept who will play in pre--season friendlies. There will be friendlies against Linfield at Ibrox - he hinted to the idea of the league trophy being presented then. There will also be a friendly against Aresnal and before the match Aresenal are going to present the historic shares back to Rangers. There is talk of possibly having a friendly with Newcastle for Gazza Rangers have a new shirt sponser and the ground looks like it shall be renamed both on one year deals. In the long term future he would like to extend the grounds capacity. Rangers will be sueing a club who have tried to tap-up our young star goalkeeper. The media image of rangers will be changed.
  9. I'm heading to this, should be good. Will write up some sort of report when I get home.
  10. Marco Rojas will go down as the greatest kiwi ever to play the game, mark my words. I'm glad he's staying at the mighty Melbourne Victory for the moment!
  11. http://www.footballaustralia.com.au/centralcoastmariners/news-display/Ryan-to-train-with-Rangers/57443 TALENTED custodian Mathew Ryan will depart Australia on Monday bound for the United Kingdom where he will spend ten days training with Rangers Football Club. Ryan will miss one Hyundai A-League match for the yellow and navy while overseas, that being the round 16 showdown with Melbourne Victory at Aurora Stadium in Launceston on Saturday 12 January. Ryan is expected to return to the Central Coast prior to the Club’s F3 Derby clash with Newcastle Jets at Bluetongue Stadium on Saturday 19 January. “I was in Scotland over Christmas spoke with (Rangers Manager) Ally McCoist about Mathew Ryan,” Central Coast Mariners General Manager of Football, Lawrie McKinna said. “It is a credit to Mat and to our Club that Ally was well aware of Mat’s ability and potential and immediately offered for him to join Rangers for a training spell.” "Mat is eager to take up the opportunity and we are sure he will learn a lot from the experience." Central Coast Mariners will update members, fans and media should any significant developments regarding this matter occur.
  12. After everything that had happened, when they could have won the League at Ibrox.
  13. Anyone got one or got the computer skills to put one together?
