The SBS probably don’t get the credit they deserve as it’s the SAS who are the pin up boys (if that’s the right phrase) of the special forces. On the other hand, it may well suit them to stay out of the limelight and just get on with the job.

Hate to be pedantic guys but he was never in the SAS. He is Ex Special Forces though. He served as a Royal Marine Commando from where he was selected for the Special Boat Service (SBS) which is the navy’s special forces unit. Anyway, glad the guy is on our side. Defo the sort of bloke you’d like to have next to you in a tight fix. And one of us as well.👍

As a young lad, I recall being in the Govan concourse at half time (pretty sure it was a New Year’s Day game) with a solid line of polis separating us from them. I remember bears practically climbing over the cops to get to them. There was a long rendition of “You only sing in the chapel” as well.

Back in the early 80s, they used to get a thin slice of the Govan as well.

Was in to TO yesterday. Lassie at the window said the running total was 44,800 odds. She said they’re still doing transfers and there are more seats to be released shortly so the final total will be a good bit higher.

I think Network Rail will be open to the idea. It’s just that they will want someone else (SG or Abellio for example) to pay for it. I think they would be reluctant to pay for it from their own project funds. Aside from the actual construction of the station itself, I think the only infrastructure alterations would be to the overhead line structures, some of which may need renewed so as to not impinge on the platforms.

Can't understand all this "if we're not within touching distance of the tims at New Year, he has to go" pish. He has to go now. This season is a right off already. Whoever comes in should get the rest of this season plus two full transfer windows so we can try and mount an effective campaign to stop them next season.

Afraid I'm not best placed to answer that. I work in the railway industry but not for Abellio/ScotRail.
