This was from the Evening Times article someone posted a couple of days ago. From what I can gather although Sima is in an offside position, he isn’t actually offside until he touches the ball or prevents Johnston from playing the ball, neither of which he does. If this is the case then the offside would be irrelevant, as far as I can understand.

Watched some of both legs vs Braga and thought both sides were honking. I wouldn’t be too fussed about getting them. Also our record against Portuguese teams throughout history is weirdly amazing. Agree about Brighton though. Would take any team in Pot 2 ahead of them. The ones to hopefully avoid.

@johanhentze Looking at the Conference League draw, Club Brugge have been drawn against AGF Aarhus in the 2nd qualifying round. As our Danish football expert do you reckon AGF have a chance of doing us a favour?

For a guy who has been refereeing in the top flight for a long time McLean is dreadful. Has a tendency to let normal games get out of control by making baffling decisions. Thankfully nothing big today and we were good enough to not let it affect the game.

Should go back to what it was in the 80s and 90s. 10 teams. 36 games. 4 Old Firms and the other 8 teams have 4 homes games against the Old Firm. Top 4 (5 most seasons) get into Europe so would be competitive and I’d have 2 relegated teams minimum, maybe also a playoff between 8th and 3rd in the Championship. Would be miles better than the shambles we have just now.

Definitely an intriguing talent and struggling to break into the Barca first team at 19 is nothing to be ashamed about and he must have had something about him to get signed by them. He played at Racing Santander before this and has 50+ league games under his belt with them although these were all at the third level of Spanish football so think he’ll still be quite raw. Would need to be a loan to buy deal ala Tillman for me.

Said on comms on Saturday we was Allan Johnston’s son. Would assume then he would be interested in a move to us as a long term Tav replacement? Whether he’s better than Devine though is probably the question.

Disagree only one midweek game until the split so should be strongest XI for all games from here on out. Plenty of time between games to monitor and manage players if needed plus get a settled starting line up to prepare for the big games ahead.

Frustrating but realistically will cost a small fortune to replace so think resigning him should be a massive priority

Honestly think today may have been his worst performance for us. He was absolutely dreadful, especially going forward. Definitely needs to be out of the team on Wednesday, maybe even next weekend as well to try and re-charge him.

Seen this floating about a lot. Winning aerial duals is no use when you constantly lose your runner at defensive set pieces. Some good memories for a squad player but best for all parties that he’s moved on.

This. I can remember going to the club shop on Argyle Street and buying tickets for Bursaspor on the day of the game no problem. Was even able to get Man Utd tickets fairly easily and I wasn’t a season ticket holder back then.
