  1. He might be a lot better thought of had he spoke up around the time of his sacking as manager and the subsequent gardening leave saga. Altough the golded handshake contact was ridiculous, once he knew were were in serious financial trouble, was he prepared to sacrifice his own wealth for the benefit of the club? I can't remember. Did he not take some sort of pay cut?
  2. Docherty, not Doherty. Got family in Milngavie who live beside his family and they say they're bluenoses.
  3. Hehehehe. Get it right up you Thompson. I hope your club goes bust and out the game. Then I hope they build a memorial for your dead club so that I can piss on it and scrub it with wee toilet brush heid Jum Spence.
  4. King is the biggest shareholder, according to the register. Next highest on the register is George Taylor who is equally unlikely to sell to Ashley. That's around 25%. Now consider Letham, Park and Rangers First and you undoubtedly have a situation in which Ashley won't gain controlling interest. Do you really think any of the aforementioned would sell shares to Ashley or Easdale?
  5. I don't get why King would have to sell? Given the animosity between him and Ashley, I seriously doubt King would sell to him. Do you?
  6. Well he'd have to sell first and then mount a takeover, all of which would take some time I'd imagine. But to gain controlling interest, presumably he'd need 51% which seems impossible given the current shareholdings. Agree it is probably a lot of shite. I suspect Easdale, Ashley, Llambias and co. have heard what's happening with the proposed share issue and are using their people in the media to stir things up. What that lot do next will be interesting.
  7. A quick look at the current shareholder register shows MASH and Easdale with less than 25% combined. There is still the mysterious Blue Pitch holdings etc. who've been in hiding for months, who'd potentially bring the combined opposition up to circa 35%. Still nowhere near enough. Furthermore, MASH can't exceed 10% of total shares unless Ashley tales the SFA back to court, having previously lost and not appealed. So it's highly unlikely that the story will materialise. But we should never caught with our guard down again. When the share issue happens, I'll be buying as many as I can afford. The future and existence of our club must never be put in jeopardy again.
  8. King, Gilligan, Park, Letham and Taylor were well known decades before Whyte appeared in tandem with our financial problems.
  9. Where was he before Whyte, Green and all hell breaking loose? With his wealth, you'd expect to have seen him in the main stand, club deck, one of the suites (his disability may limit his access to stadium, of course). But to the best of my knowledge nobody has.
  10. Did you see the photos on his Twitter account? Loves getting his photo taken with the ladies. And is that really his wife? ?
  11. Her name? ? Totally agree though. Had anyone in our support heard of Prior before Whyte/Green/Ashley etc? King is rightly getting criticised at the moment, but he has spent a lot more than Prior on buying shares.
  12. Ah, a sensible comment. That's a fair point, but the signing of those two players proved that we can attract big names. On the financial side, the pay off from Inter would be huge, so he'd be more likely to consider it. I got ridiculed and banned from Follow Follow for a similar post where I advocated Le Guen. He turned out to be a major disappointment, but it happened and it happened at a time when we're struggling financially.
