  1. I'm surprised the sun journalist could decipher what that clown Nicholas says. Incoherent muppet that he is.And since when did Pedro act like he own our country? what the fuck is this shite?
  2. What I don't understand is why mcinnes wasn't considered for the job. And why many supporters on here don't rate the guy. I think he's done alright considering the financial restrictions at Aberdeen.
  3. Rangers are worse now than they were back in the early eighties before Murray bought us. Never thought i'd ever see a Rangers team as shite as this.
  4. “Frank is smart, he’s a good team builder and would look at getting four or five years to build something in his way. “But you never know if top clubs are prepared to wait this long.” Therein lies the rub.......
  5. I wouldn't bring back Ally. Absolutely no way. All I'm saying is McLeish might be a decent shout given the circumstances.
  6. To be fair if Mcleish gets the job short term it might be a decent shout to steady the ship so to speak. During his tenure there wasn't much money about either albeit things were not as bleak as they were at the moment.
  7. Don't know if it's been done yet on the forum but here a breakdown of previous managers to give us all a wee bit of perspective. Interesting reading Mark Warburton15 Jun 2015 - 10 Feb 2017Won: 50, Drawn: 14, Lost: 13 Stuart McCall12 Mar 2015 - 14 Jun 2015Won: 7, Drawn: 6, Lost: 4 Ally McCoist01 Jun 2011 - 21 Dec 2014Won: 119, Drawn: 22, Lost: 23 Walter Smith10 Jan 2007 - 15 May 2011Won: 128, Drawn: 45, Lost: 29 Alex McLeish13 Dec 2001 - 08 May 2006Won: 155, Drawn: 44, Lost: 36 Dick Advocaat01 Jul 1998 - 12 Dec 2001Won: 131, Drawn: 30, Lost: 33 Walter Smith16 Apr 1991 - 31 May 1998Won: 249, Drawn: 68, Lost: 63 Graeme Souness01 Apr 1986 - 16 Apr 1991Won: 165, Drawn: 50, Lost: 45 Jock Wallace10 Nov 1983 - 07 Apr 1986Won: 62, Drawn: 38, Lost: 42 Jock Wallace31 May 1972 - 23 May 1978Won: 201, Drawn: 56, Lost: 51
  8. I agree. I really hoped that it would work with MW and DW at the helm and to be fair there was moments of potential last season, but this season has been a non starter for us. We've completely failed to adjust to the higher level and look every bit a first division side. Completely lost faith in MW to be honest. I also think it's unlikely that he'll be sacked after the winter break, did he not recently sign an extension til 2019? Not sure what anyone thinks but I think Derek McInnes is worth a shout. He's done well with absolutely no investment from Aberdeen and they play good football too
  9. I agree. He is our most important midfielder by a country mile. His movement and vision is first class. A real bargain at 65K! Hopefully we have turned a corner with that performance yesterday. It was very pleasing to watch. I also think O'Halloran and Garner played well also. I'm hoping we're beginning to gel as a team now and I think that selection of players should be given a run of games as it seems to be working for us.
  10. I think we are every bit a mid table team right now. The manager took a gamble with our signings and so far it hasn't paid off. I was one of the fans who wasn't impressed with the Barton signing and unfortunately has been proven to be correct. Kranjčar is prone to injury and in my opinion will probably retire soon. he is in no way fit enough to play in the kind of system our manager likes to play. Windass for me is a bit like Forrester; too inconsistent. I also think this of most of our players. Too many of them are off the boil and we have lost that dynamism we showed last year. Hopefully things will click together soon with a bit of luck, but it's looking increasingly unlikely without some proper investment from the board. And on a side note i really hate the formation we play. I just don't think that it is working. i prefer two up front at all times. I'm a bit of a traditionalist that way. I don't want to lose faith in Warburton but without proper investment from the board the fans are already becoming increasingly restless. Patience is not something that we do well, let's be honest.
  11. People were calling for Walter Smith to resign on multiple occasions over the long illustrious time he had in charge. Even the season he got us to the Uefa cup final. Something that I never thought I would see in my life time. But there you go, it's all about opinions I suppose........
  12. When I was growing up ( pre David Murray days ) this crying to the authorities for being offended by words was not even a thing. When Rangers took the ascendency over Celtic on the playing field there was nothing from our support about being offended and it was solely the job of Celtic fans to scour the tv with their volumes up to be offended by what is now outlawed songs. We would laugh at how pathetic they were. Now the tables are somewhat reversed and elements of our support are in my opinion as pathetic as they were. It's just a game of football. Naughty songs are hardly something to be offended about, regardless of the way society is heading. Grow a fucking pair of balls and give it a rest
  13. I really hope the rumours are true that he is going to be sent packing. Dreadful error of judgement signing him in the first place. The guy thinks he's Eric Cantona with his ambiguous interpretation of his abilities. He'll be remembered more for his social media account than anything he's ever done on a football pitch that's for sure.
  14. It's good to know there are people left with balance after the melt down on Saturday. Arguments about who sings the most offensive songs and trying to justify smashing up toilets?. Childish, emotive bollocks in my opinion. Most Rangers fans cannot seem to comprehend that we are in a far weaker position than Celtic at the moment, The ridiculous deal with JD Sports, arguably being the biggest financial issue we face right now. A significant revenue stream has been denied for the next six years or so and we can only hope the board can reach some kind of settlement that can benefit us soon, however unlikely that outcome seems at the moment. People are calling for Dave King to be removed from his position after what seems to be a lack of investment after his 20 - 30 million pound pledge in 2015. I'm not convinced that would be the right route to go down either as there has been more than enough off the field legal wranglings to last any Rangers fan a life time. And most importantly who is going to replace him? A Saudi Prince? I also think Warburton and Weir's signings during the closed season, at face value at the time looked solid investments for little or no outlay. ( apart from Barton who I think will be remembered more for his twitter account than anything he has done on a football field ). The other thing to remember is that we have amassed a whole new team of players that have only really played a handfull of games together. It takes time to build a winning formula, although it's this issue that most fans won't want to hear as people expect instant success. Especially against our most bitter rivals. Don't forget Celtic will drop points for sure. It historically has always been the way when competing on the European front. I think when we get all our squad fit and maybe more investment in January things will start to come good. I also think it's unrealistic to expect to win the league this year even before Saturday's result. If we can qualify for Champions league and get that much needed financial safety net and maybe win a cup or two, I think most balanced people will say that on the whole the season has not been too bad, if you consider everything we are dealing with and the journey we've been on for the last five years or so. It's a bitter pill to swallow right now but I honestly think there is no realistic immediate alternative. I think Warburton is a good coach and should be given a chance to see what he can do in the top tier. Surely sacking the management team will only lead to more more uncertainty?
  15. The truth is, if we were to win next week these posts would disappear for a few weeks until we drop points again. The negativity is a vast over reaction. Four games played and we're sitting pretty despite some poor performances. What happens when we start hitting form? I agree that the title this year may be a bit beyond us given the circumstances, however if we qualify for Europe then next season we should expect a real challenge. Having said all that though there is no chance that Celtic will win all their games this season. They will drop points too when the European nights kick in. It's up to us to capitalize on that........
