Thursday, 26 September 2013 14:08 Flamingo Land Sponsors DJ Written by Rangers Football Club FLAMINGO LAND, the UK’s only combined theme park, zoo and holiday resort, is now the proud sponsor of RangersTV’s matchday commentary featuring Ibrox legend Derek Johnstone. Barca Bear DJ has already been providing his expert analysis at recent games shown on RangersTV.tv but it has been confirmed he will continue this role with the club’s online channel throughout stage two of The Journey. Johnstone made 547 appearances and scored 209 goals during two spells with the Light Blues and he was part of Willie Waddell’s famous side that lifted the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1972. Flamingo Land is delighted to sponsor RangersTV’s matchday commentary with DJ, chief executive Gordon Gibb said: “Flamingo Land Resort Yorkshire is proud to be associated with Rangers Football Club, bringing two top flight organisations together.” DISCOVER THE UK'S ONLY COMBINED THEME PARK, ZOO AND HOLIDAY RESORT Set in 375 acres of beautiful countryside, you will find something for all ages to enjoy at Flamingo Land in Yorkshire. If you are looking for adrenaline-fuelled thrills there are a sensational collection of extreme rides, including the recently opened Hero Rollercoaster that puts visitors in a flying position before swooping them around a track which creates the sensation of zero gravity flight. Plus there is a great choice of junior and family attractions. Flamingo Land has a new sector called Dino-Stone Park and as the name suggests all the entertainment has a dinosaur flavour. This includes Cyclosaur, a children’s ride which allows riders to interact in a pedal–powered hang gliding simulation. Twistosaurus is a fantastic ride for the whole family with four cars on a track that spin independently. Moving and roaring dinosaurs are exhibited as well as full scale dinosaur skeletons and a dinosaur dig for those budding archaeologists. You will quickly discover what makes Flamingo Land the UK’s most visited Zoo. With over 140 species of reptiles, mammals and birds, plus an amazing penguin pool and Muddy Duck Farm, you can enjoy an amazing view of the animal kingdom. Just one day at Flamingo Land is never enough. That is why there is a Resort Village, complete with an extensive range of luxury accommodation, exclusive leisure facilities and The Club, a premium entertainment venue for Resort guests. With an extensive choice of short breaks and longer stays, finding your ideal holiday could not be easier. http://rangers.co.uk/news/club-news/item/5165-flamingo-land-sponsors-dj
  3. LIVE IN THE UK only on RangersTV. Kick-Off @ 7:45pm. Purchase the match now for just £5.99. http://rangerstv.tv/ Back in October we suffered our only league defeat this season to Stirling Albion while their manager was away getting married. Well, the honeymoon period for these SFL3 teams is certainly over and we have marched on in the league since then winning 16 and drawing 2 of our 18 league games scoring 52 goals and conceding just 13, including a 2-0 win at Ibrox over tomorrows opponents. While the league is almost confirmed it is vital we maintain this strong form as the league closes. Complacency must be eradicated from the players minds as we aim to wrap up this season and look forward to our challenges next season. We require a maximum of just 6 wins from our last 11 games. However with Queens Park, our closest challengers, also playing Tuesday away to Clyde that could reduce to 4 wins from our last 10 should results go our way tomorrow. While people were disappointed with the teams performance on Saturday we should remember how well they played in the 2 previous games, playing the ball around nicely and scoring some cracking goals. This season has been filled with new challenges, in new places, making new friends but tomorrow there is the added spice of some revenge to be taken. It would be nice to make up for our one failure in the league this season with a stylish performance and, more importantly, a win. With Perry suffering from his second broken nose this season and a tear in his hamstring it looks certain he'll miss out and Le Superstar from Saturday Seb Faure is likely leading the pack to come in, unless Cribari recovers from his stomach virus in time. Otherwise, I'd crack on with the same players and I'm looking at a 4-0 win for Rangers.
  4. Just loving Rangerstv, Support from the Blue Order was terrific. Stand out performances from Aird and Gasparotto, also well done to the Queens Park kids. PS Why not play all Reserve matches at Ibrox, can only benefit the players development
