  1. Bear with me on this one, I'll get there... In only one month's time, it is the 70th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings. Many of the current Erskine Residents either served or lived through WWII and so as you can imagine, D-Day Celebrations are a big thing for them - especially such a significant one (70th). Erskine Homes always have D-Day parties, complete with Bunting, Spam and Vera Lynn etc, but this year they're wanting to push the boat out a bit more. As part of the celebrations, they plan to give each Resident a "Ration Pack" of goodies, and in amongst this pack they want to give everyone a miniature of Whisky. The Residents fair love a wee dram. Erskine Park have asked me to ask you to see if any of our members have any connection with the trade (retail/manufacture/distribution bootlegging), and might be able to point them towards getting a good deal. They're looking for quite a lot - about 30 for Erskine Park Home, and 30 for Erskine Mains Home, and the other 3 Homes may want to do similar) - so they're not expecting such a big donation (not from us at least!), they're just hoping we can point them to the best price/trade discount or whatever. Obviously any donations won't be refused though! But who knows - maybe we have a member who's a whisky distributor with a shed full of unsellable whisky miniatures?? Or maybe we have 30 members who would each want to post an unwanted miniature to the Home?? Or maybe we have a member who has a spare pile of something else, like After Eight Mints, or jam, or tights(??), or anything else you think they could make use of. Any other ideas are welcome. Oh and for the younger ones amongst us - we won the war.
  2. RM Erskine Rangers Recreation Fund - Season 2015/16 Ordinary RM Members Supporting Extraordinary Erskine Veterans. Donate here: http://www.rangersmedia.co.uk/paypal.html Welcome to the New RM Erskine Fund Thread – Season 2015/16 Latest Accounts: http://forum.rangersmedia.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=284912 (The previous thread can be found here… http://forum.rangersmedia.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=283308&page=41#entry1062778380 and all the other Fund threads can be found here… http://forum.rangersmedia.co.uk/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=search&search_tags=erskine%2Blunch%2Bfund&search_app=forums and here… http://forum.rangersmedia.co.uk/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=search&search_tags=rm%2Bsponsors%2Bfund&search_app=forums - That’s a lot of threads! The RangersMedia Erskine Rangers Recreation Fund (aka The Fund) is a voluntary fundraising group funded by RM Member donations (and other occasional fundraising activities). A donation of £5 or more gains you membership of the Fund’s Hall of Fame, which is by far the most respectable list around these parts - but more importantly, it helps us help our Veterans, and our Club. The money raised is spent as follows: Providing Rangers FC Products and Services to Residents of 4 Erskine Care Homes (eg: Season Tickets, Match Tickets, Hospitality Tickets, Stadium Tours, Argyle Restaurant Lunches, Rangers TV, Rangers Match Programmes) Providing non-Rangers-related Recreational Treats for the Residents of 4 Erskine Homes (eg: Boat Trips, Restaurant Lunches, Christmas Party Donations, Palace Visits, D-Day Whisky Miniatures) Supporting The Rangers Family - Rangers Development Fund, Rangers Charity Foundation, Rangers Ladies, Rangers Football In The Community. (we also support Residents of Hollybush House Hospital (Combat Stress) along the same lines as the Erskine Homes) The Fund has no running costs – (except the 6% PayPal fee charged by PayPal on all donations ). So every penny donated is properly spent and properly accounted for. With over £25,000 raised to date (and spent very wisely!), we are now enthusiastically embarking on our 4th Season of Supporting Erskine Veterans and Rangers FC. It promises to be our most successful season so far - and that’s why we’d really like you to join us. We launched this season’s new membership a few days ago, and the response from members has been awesome - We already have over 100 New Members before a ball is even kicked. But the more members we have, the more we can achieve, so please join us. It's easy. To Support our Activities, and Join our Hall of Fame, simply donate £5 or more to the Fund (and PM me). If money is in short supply, that's all we need from you. If even £5 is too much, not a problem - PM me for a full concession - there are other ways to help apart from money! If you earn enough to donate more than £5, then please feel free to donate as you see fit. If you're on holiday, offshore, waiting for pay day etc, then PM me and I'll add you to the Pledged List - then you can donate whenever is good for you. 3. I wasn't going to start this thread until after the Ricksen Testimonial, but since RDF have now launched their ad, I feel I should give everyone the heads up about our excellent offer before you order your wall brick... http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/8375-ricksen-wall-panel-available The important points: 1. This is a WALL Panel, not a paving brick - there haven't been any wall panels for years, and there won't be any more for years. (It's situated at the entrance to Argyle House). 2. There are only 450 panels available (far less than that now because they're already selling well.) and then it's back to paving bricks. 3. For every panel sold, £10 goes to MND Scotland And now the bonus points... RM Sponsors' Fund, in association with RDF are able to offer you an even better deal... 1. All RM forum Members get a £10 discount when you order through us. Yes, £10 off. You won't get that anywhere else. (don't worry, your discount will not affect RDF's profit margin, or the MND donation.) 2. Win a pair of match tickets! RDF have donated two pairs of match tickets (to a game of your choice) to the Fund. These will be raffled amongst the members who buy a Wall Panel from us. Simple. 3. Win an item of official memorabilia! RDF have also donated a few items of memorabilia to the Fund. These will also be raffled amongst the members who buy a Wall Panel from us. Simple. So there's a good chance there will be more prizes than there are buyers. So there you go. £40. Best wall panel deal in town! What are you waiting for? PM me! PS - An update for the most recent Paving brick purchasers - RDF apologise for the delay in installation. This is due partly to the inevitable laziness of contractors around Christmas, and partly to the inevitable shitty weather. They will let me know as soon as they have the installation date.
  4. RangersMedia Sponsors’ Fund? - What exactly is it? (This post is aimed at newer members who maybe don’t have the full picture of what the Sponsors’ Fund is and why they should join it ) It began in December last year when I noticed that there were still unfilled sponsorship slots in the Rangers match programmes, and I suggested that maybe some RM members could have a whip-round and buy one of the sponsorship slots, and get the RM logo into the match programme. Other members agreed, RM agreed to let us use their PayPal account, and so we started collecting. We quickly raised the money we needed, but decided to keep the fund open, to try to raise more money, and to think about what else we could do with the remaining money that would be good for Rangers and good for RM. We launched the Sponsors’ Fund Hall Of Fame – a list of members who had donated £10 or more to the fund. Being on this list gives them: - a voice in all fund discussions - voting rights on everything to do with the fund - the occasional exclusive offer (eg: free matchday programmes, discount offers) - the occasional perk that may arise (eg: Tuesday’s trip to Auchenhowie) - the knowledge that they’re doing their bit for Rangers and for RM One other added benefit of being in the Sponsors’ Hall of Fame is that it is recognised by at least one RangersMedia member worldwide as a badge of honour, marking you out as a Good Bear, and definitely not a t**g! All the money we raise gets spent directly on Rangers products or services. Here’s a list of what we bought with this season’s money. Total Funds received this season (after PayPal deductions): £1740.52 Already Spent or allocated: £550 - Kit Sponsorship for Darren Cole Season 2012/2013 £38 - Christmas presents (official Rangers merchandise) for Ant, a young Bear in hospital* £197 - 2 x Half Season tickets for Ant & his mum* £33 - 33 Rangers Christmas Raffle Tickets £10 - 10 Rangers Charity wristbands from Pam Jackson £50 - Ibrox Stadium Brick - (RangersMedia - ThenNowForever) ORDERED (05/03/13) £50 - Ibrox Stadium Brick - (RangersMedia - Ready 2012/2013) ORDERED (16/03/13) Total spent to date: £928.00 BALANCE £812.52 - To be banked towards season 2013/2014 match programme sponsorship. The fund’s aims are as follows: Raise as much money as possible Spend all that money directly on Rangers Use any merchandise we buy (or receive) to generate more money for the fund Spend all that money on Rangers too Raise RangersMedia’s profile through sponsorship, stadium bricks, etc Have some fun debating what to do with the money and voting on stuff So now we’re on to fundraising for season 2013/2014. We want to be in the match programme for the whole season, not just half a season – so it will cost about £1000. We have about £800 banked, so we only need to raise a couple of hundred, but we also want to raise more money to buy bricks, raffle tickets, match tickets, and other fun Rangers things. The plan for this season is that instead of just asking for donations, we will be selling raffle tickets, and raffling off a few Rangers-related goodies we’ve obtained. In order to get in to this season’s Hall of Fame, and enjoy all the benefits that brings, you will simply need to buy a minimum number of raffle tickets (price to be decided). This will probably be the only significant fundraising event for the whole of next season, right up until April 2014, so if you want to be a part of all of next season’s happenings, you really do need to buy some raffle tickets when they go on sale (which will be in a few weeks. Hope that tells you all you need to know. If not, feel free to ask. If you want to know more, and want to see how it all happened along the way, here are some of the relevant threads… How it all began… http://forum.rangers...pic=243479&st=0 Getting the ball rolling… http://forum.rangers...howtopic=243604 getting the RM logo into our first match programme… http://forum.rangers...howtopic=244077 A Christmas diversion - raising money to buy a half-season ticket for a young Bear in hospital… http://forum.rangers...howtopic=244526 Then we started discussing how to spend the money… http://forum.rangers...howtopic=244019 Discussed the wording for our first stadium brick… http://forum.rangers...howtopic=245119 Voted for the wording on our first stadium brick… http://forum.rangers...howtopic=246391 Decided who whould go to Auchenhowie to meet our player and collect our framed shirt... http://forum.rangers...howtopic=249521 And then a couple of days ago, we got our beautifully framed Darren Cole shirt from Auchenhowie – and now we need to decide what we’ll do with it… http://forum.rangers...howtopic=251176
  5. The RM Sponsors’ Fund Rangers Lotto Group Total RDF Lotto Funds Raised to date: £640 Current Members:RM Sponsors’ Fund (4 tickets)As I Was Walking….Courtyard BearcstamomusagovanblueOffshoreworkerquintyRFC EagleSoldierBlue1SW3thistleman Sponsors’ Fund’s Lotto Numbers 27, 37, 41, 4710, 13, 16, 3402, 12, 35, 3710, 13, 20, 35 (these are the same every week) Rangers Lotto Weekly Winners Bulletins: http://www.rangerslo...k/?page_id=1498 If you would like to support Rangers Youth Development, support the RM Sponsors’ Fund, maybe have a wee bit of fun, and have the chance of winning a few thousand pounds every week, then read on. After discussions with Rangers Development Fund, we have agreed that the Rangers Lotto is one of the best ways for the Fund to support RDF. It's also one of the potentially most rewarding. So we’ve set up a Rangers Lotto Group to give our members the chance to support this great cause easily. The Fund has bought itself 2 Lotto tickets for the next 52 weeks (£104) and has so far convinced 4 Fund Members to buy one ticket each for 52 weeks. RDF think this is a great idea, and so do we. So now we’re hopeful that we can persuade other Fund Members to join in. By joining the RM Rangers Lotto Group, you will:Help RDF directly in their preferred wayIncrease the overall total raised by Sponsors’ Fund MembersPossibly have a wee bit of funMaybe win a few thousand pounds (Jackpot is up to £5k in the Saturday draws, £1k in the Wednesday draws and the monthly rollover draw is currently at £11.5k!)So what are you waiting for? If you’re interested in taking part, or even just trying it for a week or two, there are several options: 1: Join us as a Full Annual Member. Cost: £1 for each week of the Lotto Year remaining (we’re in week 3 now, so there are 49 weeks remaining, so that would be £49. Next week it would be £48 etc. 2: Join us as a Quarterly member. Cost: £13 for 13 weeks membership. (we will then contact you at the end of your quarter to see if you want to continue) 3:Join us on an ad-hoc basis: Cost: Simply Make a donation of any amount you want to the Lotto Group and we will buy weekly tickets for you for that amount. Eg: donate £6 and you will be entered in the Lotto draws for the next 6 weeks 4: Support the Rangers Lotto independently. You can either sign up directly for a £1 a week Direct Debit here: http://www.rangerslo....uk/?page_id=43 Or you can simply buy some tickets online right now… http://www.rangerslo....uk/?page_id=39 If you have any questions at all, please feel free to PM me or post here. And here's hoping I can notify you of our first winner soon Small print: The cost is £1 a week if paid cash for as many weeks as you want to play it. If you pay via RM’s PayPal, they charge us 6% - so the cost would need to be £1.07 a week to cover that. You can avoids that fee by meeting at Ibrox on matchday if possible. This is not a syndicate. No prizes will be shared. Each member has their own individual Lotto ticket numbers for the year and any prize won by their ticket is theirs to keep. Any prize won by The Sponsors’ Fund’s 2 tickets belong to the Fund, and the Fund Members will decide what to do with it. I also have one ticket in my own name, and anything won by that ticket will be my prize, just like any other Lotto Group member. So FYI, my personal Lotto numbers are: 10,31,33,39. The other members’ numbers are private. I’m acting as the Agent for this Group, but I can confirm that all sales commissions earned from the Group along with any Agent’s prizes won will be passed on in full to the Fund. I’m not sure how much the Agent’s sales commission actually is. It’s a few percent I think. I’ll let you know when I find out.) http://www.rangerslo...o.uk/?page_id=4

What is the Erskine Lunch Fund (ELF) As most of us know, The RM Sponsors' Fund is bound by its 'charter' to spend its money exclusively on Rangers FC. This proved problematic when we wanted to buy a group of Erskine Veterans their lunch in the Argyle Restaurant as part of an Ibrox day out - because the restaurant is operated by Azure, and not by Rangers, so our rules forbade us from paying for the lunch. Undeterred we simply launched another fund where members could donate money specifically to support Erskine, without the restriction of having to spend the money on Rangers FC. The RM Erskine Lunch Fund Rules: 1. Spend all money raised on Erskine 2. Make Erskine Residents happier The Sponsors' Fund itself also continues to support Erskine whenever it can of course, by buying official Rangers FC products and services for the benefit of Erskine Veterans. To find out more about what the ELF has been up to, have a look at these Erskine Lunch Fund threads from the last year or so. http://forum.rangers...arch_app=forums And here are some great photos of some fantastic memorabilia items donated by RM members as part of our RM Erskine Football Memories Programme - whereby we donate Rangers and other memorabilia to Erskine Homes for use in their football-based dementia therapy sessions - and also for the benefit of any Veteran Bears who would appreciate them (For example every Bear in Erskine Park home who wanted one got an Ibrox snowglobe and a Broxi Beanie Bear - And there are one or two Nacho Silk scarves floating around too ) http://s1327.photobu.../?sort=3&page=1 Anyway, hope that enlightens any of you who weren't sure what the Erskine Lunch Fund is all about, and hope to see you answering the call when it's time for more donations. And now on to this season's news...

So this season, the plan is obviously to build on last season and go one better. But it might not be quite as easy as that, because there have been quite a few changes through the closed season, players-in, players-out, coaching-staff changes etc. So fingers crossed it all gels and they get off to a flying start in their first league cup game, which is tomorrow. You might consider sponsoring a whole girl yourself, or maybe even clubbing together with a few other RM members and sponsoring a limb each. PM me if you're interested. There are also other higher profile sponsorship opportunities available for Senior Players and individual matches (£250). So if you’ve got a business of any sort, you’ll not need me to lecture you on your social obligations but you might need me to point out that this particular opportunity might tick a lot of your boxes, just as it does ours. You can contact Rangers Ladies by email: RFCLadies@gmail.com Or alternatively, you can talk to me first if you want, and I might be able to add some bonus value for all involved.

One item up for auction: Here we have the Official Launch Photos of the Walter Smith Management Team (2007-2011) - The Team which delivered: 3 League Titles3 League Cups 2 Scottish Cups1 UEFA Cup FinalA very respectable chapter in our history - And when all this hullabaloo is forgotten, this will be something worth hanging proudly again. Current Price: £20 After a recent surge in Sponsors' Fund spending, we now find ourselves pretty low on cash. So it's probably a good idea for us to raffle off a couple of the items we've got left. Me and My Wee Pal Joe - Jim Hannah Sold: £55 Limited edition, 1 of only 20 prints of this classic painting by Jim Hannah (Rangers Fans Liason Officer). Signed by the artist. 10. *** The Official Sponsors' Fund Members Framed Shirts Auction Thread This auction is only open to RM Sponsors’ Fund Members. To make a bid, PM me. (You can bid on as many Shirts as you want, but you will not be allowed to win more than one Shirt.) In this auction, we have 6 Official Kit Sponsor’s Framed Shirts on offer: 1. Hamed Namouchi Season 2004/2005 2. Kris Boyd Season 2006/2007 3. El- Hadji Diouf season 2010/2011 4. Sone Aluko Season 2011/2012 5. Sebastien Faure Season 2012/2013 6. Arnold Peralta Season 2013/2014 (includes Signed, Boxed Away Shirt) Each shirt has its own Starting Price, Current Price and Maximum Price (note that I may change these during the auction, depending on the response.) 12. Development Fund Donation http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/club-news/item/8855-development-fund-donation THE Rangers Development Fund are delighted to provide a £150,000 donation to the Rangers Youth Programme. Academy Manager Craig Mulholland, Andy Murdoch and Tom Walsh were pleased to receive the cheque on behalf of the Youth Programme from Rangers Development Fund directors Colin Stewart and Jim Macbrayne. The Rangers Development Fund operate a number of fundraising initiatives on behalf of the Rangers Youth Programme with profits being donated each year. Director of Operations Colin Stewart told RangersTV: "Each year the Rangers Development Fund looks after a number of different products, the main one is Rangers Lotto, but we also have the Rising Stars half time draw, Stadium Bricks, scratchcards, competitions and more. "The proceeds from all of these products go towards the donation that the development fund give to the club every season. "This year that is £150,000 and we were delighted to hand that over to the Club just after the EGM and the money goes directly to our youth programme." Rangers Lotto, Rising Stars, Stadium Bricks and Rangers Scratchcard profits are all directed to the club’s Youth Programme. This season, the RM Sponsors' Fund's contribution to that sum was as follows: Rangers Lotto - £640Rising Stars - £360Scratchcards - £100Stadium Bricks - £2,970 ( !!! )Total: £4,070

  14. *** Note that this Fundraiser is NOT for existing Fund Members - only for new recruits. Dear RangersMedia Members, The RangersMedia Sponsors’ Fund (current membership: 161 Good RM Bears) is currently looking for new members. We've been very successful so far this season and I believe that there are quite a few RM members out there who would like a wee nudge to help them sign up, so that they can support our cause/get involved/do their bit/sleep at night . This is that wee nudge. To be a member, all you have to do is 1: Be a Good Bear 2: Be a RangersMedia Member 3: Support Rangers The membership fee is £10 per season (not per month!). So sign up now and that’s all you need to donate until the new season kicks off. Your £10 is guaranteed to be spent wisely and effectively. I will post below a list of what we’ve done this season already. New RM Members: If you’re a newer member, who wasn't around when we had the annual recruitment, and you've seen all this Fund stuff and want to play a part in it, then this is your chance. Just ask any questions you have on this thread. Long-Term RM members: If you’re a long-term member who has resisted signing up, convinced that it had to be a scam (or for whatever reason) – now is the perfect opportunity to reappraise that decision. The Hall of Fame is in Alphabetical order, not Chronological. Existing Sponsors' Fund Members: Thanks again for your support. Do you know anyone on RM who isn't a member of the Fund yet? If so, why not urge/persuade/wager/blackmail them into signing up to the Fund. If all 132 existing members each got one other RM member to sign up, wouldn't that be just swell? As many Fund Members will testify, there are lots of benefits to membership (some minor, some major, far too many to list). But it’s not about the member benefits - they’re just a bonus. But one benefit you might want to be aware of is that only Fund Members will be able to participate in our upcoming Fundraising Auction. So if you're not a Fund Member, andyou fancy that Orange Arveladze Framed Shirt, you’re gonna have to part with a tenner first. To Join The Fund: 1: Go to RangersMedia PayPal Donate page 2: Donate a minimum of £10 through PayPal (more if you wish! ) – (add your RM username as a paypal note if you can) 3: PM me and tell me you’ve donated 4: Lie back and enjoy your rediscovered feelings of joy in Supporting Rangers. Concession Memberships: There is no half-season discount offer, because no matter when you join, you automatically gain an equal share in everything we’ve done so far this season - because a tenner now is as good as it was at the beginning of the season. So if you can afford a tenner, give it to the Fund and give yourself a big pat on the back for everything you’ve achieved already this season! We are however piloting a Brand-New Concession Scheme. Here’s how it works: Sometimes those of us lucky enough to have a regular income and very few expenses tend to forget that it’s not always possible to justify donating £10 when you’ve got no job, bills to pay, hungry kids, etc. (Students I’m not so sure about – they get it too easy already!) So if that strikes a chord with you, and you’d really like to join the Fund and get involved, but can’t afford it then here’s what you do: PM me and say something like “can I have a concession membership please. Reason: No job.” You will then find you have become a Loyal Fund Member (free of charge) just like all the other Good Bears, with full voting and participation rights. Your concession status will remain completely private between you and me. Not even Admin will know. So if that's something that could help you, don't let pride get in the way of you doing the right thing! Here is a reminder of what we've spent those tenners on so far this season... Spent so far Season 2014/15 (most recent at top): £300 - 25 Fernando Ricksen Tribute Match Tickets for Combat Stress (Sponsors' Fund) £288 - 24 Fernando Ricksen Tribute Match Tickets for Quarriers Stopover (Teddy Bears' Fund) £138 - 13 Fernando Ricksen Tribute Match Tickets for Erskine Homes (Erskine Lunch Fund) £120 - Megastore Shopping for Erskine Veterans Ibrox Day Out (Sponsors' Fund) £40 - Ibrox Staff tips (for Erskine Veterans Ibrox Day Out - Waiting staff, tour guide, Shop helpers) £130 - Argyle Lunch for Erskine Veterans (Erskine Lunch Fund) £52 - 26 Rising Stars (v Livingston) £63 - Selection Boxes and Christmas Biscuits (Teddy Bears' Fund - Glasgow South West Food Bank) £14.10 - Postage for raffle prizes £500 - Cash Donation (shared amongst 5 Erskine Care Homes) £20 - 10 Rising Stars (v Cowdenbeath) £36 - 2 Match Tickets for Erskine (v Cowdenbeath) £20 - 10 Rising Stars (v Alloa) £40 - 1 Ibrox Paving Brick for Fund Member £20 - 10 Rising Stars (v Falkirk) £200 - 5 Rangers Bricks for Fund Members £40 - Rangers Lotto (annual subscription for a Fund Member) £50 - Match programme subscription for Combat Stress (Hollybush House) £56 - Megastore purchases (Gifts for Jak Trueman) £112 - Match tickets for Combat Stress (Armed Forces Day) £33 - Match tickets for Erskine (Armed forces Day) £20 - 10 Rising Stars £16 - 16 Rangers Scratchcards £84 - Rangers Lotto (2 annual subscriptions for the Fund) £84 - Rangers Lotto (2 annual subscriptions for 2 members) £40 - 20 Rising Stars (We won £100!) £72 - 3 tickets for Combat Stress (v ICT) £93 - 5 Tickets for Erskine Homes (v ICT) £200 - Rangers Ladies - Sponsorship of 2 Home Matches £100 - Rangers Ladies - Sponsorship of 2 U-13 Players £20 - 10 Rising Stars (v QOTS) £60 - Rangers Lotto (2 new Lotto group members) £150 – Auchenhowie Fan Panel £200 – 5 Ibrox Paving Bricks £20 – 10 Rising Stars tickets (v Dumbarton) £15 – 5 x match programmes for Quarriers Stopover group £200 – 4 x match programme annual subscriptions for Erskine Homes £31 – 1 ticket v Hearts for Quarriers Stopover group (from Teddy Bears’ Fund) £50 – 25 Rising Stars v Hearts £312 – Rangers Lotto (£104 from Fund, £208 from 4 members’ direct donations) £70 – 70 Rangers Scratchcards £80 – 2 Ibrox Paving Bricks Total spent so far this season: £4189.10

  16. Rangers Charity Foundation is currently running its Annual Prize Draw - but with all the commotion going on elsewhere, you may not have noticed. As always, RM Sponsors' Fund will be supporting it as much as we can, and so I've just bought 200 tickets at £1 each on our behalf. Due to PayPal restrictions, we are not able to sell any of these tickets on to you, so we will just keep them for the Fund, and the Fund will receive any prize won by those 200 tickets. However, if any fund-members feel hard done by, and want the opportunity to support the Draw, I can get you as many tickets as you want when I'm in the RCF Office. I can then PM you your ticket numbers, and you can square me up later. If you're wondering if it's worth the hassle, here's an excerpt from an email I received from RCF today: "...Any more you can sell to members would be a great help. Sales are going ok so far but we’ll need a big push in the next month to match what we raised last year. ...Many thanks for your support as always." Alternatively, you can buy them yourself just as easily, by calling 0141 580 8775 or send an e-mail to rangerscharity@rangers.co.uk for more information. You can also buy tickets from the Rangers Ticket Centre. Lucky Legends Prize Draw - Win A Trip to New York! If you would love to win a weekend in New York for two and a signed, framed Brian Laudrup print or a VIP trip to Murray Park as the Manager’s special guest then our new Lucky Legends Prize Draw is your dream ticket! We have a range of fantastic prizes up for grabs and tickets are only £1 each – plus all the funds raised from the raffle support the fantastic work of the Foundation and our charity partners. If you would like to purchase tickets or are keen to support your Foundation and sell tickets to family, friends and colleagues, get in touch with us now on 0141 580 8775 or e-mail rangerscharity@rangers.co.uk for more information. You can also buy tickets from the Rangers Ticket Centre. We hope as many Foundation supporters as possible will join our Lucky Legends Prize Draw Volunteer Team and take some tickets away to sell. Every fan who sells £200 worth of tickets will become a True Blue Hero and will be invited to a special reception to receive a True Blue Hero medal from a first team player. Your Foundation needs you, so please get in touch! Other prizes include a signed framed jersey from the 9-in-a-Row 10th anniversary celebration match, shirts and balls signed by the first team squad and tours of Ibrox Stadium. For full terms and conditions for the Lucky Legends Prize Draw see below. The draw will be made on Tuesday 3 March 2015 with the results available from Wednesday 4 March 2015 at www.rangerscharity.org.uk. 17. The RM Sponsors’ Fund is delighted to announce that RangersMedia are now the Official Match-Programme Kit-Sponsor for Sebastien Faure for the remainder of the season. Fund Members will remember how disappointed we were that we couldn’t afford to continue our Sponsorship at the beginning of the season, but now that we’re near the end of the season, the reduced price is one we can just afford. As we discussed at our EGM, we decided to sponsor Seb, rather than putting it to the vote, mainly because of the time restraints (the order deadline was today) but also because Seb never let us down when we sponsored him last season, he has shown himself to be a good ambassador for the club both on and off the park, and most of us really wouldn’t want to sponsor any of the remaining unsponsored players! So look out for the RM Logo in the match programme, on the Ibrox display boards and big screens, and also on the player profile page. Welcome Back Seb! SPONSORED BY
  18. Due to some recent developments, it is necessary to hold an EGM to discuss an important proposed spending decision. The EGM will take place in a members-only group conversation (which is just a big long PM with lots of people in it.) Fund Members - If you would like to participate in the discussion and decision-making, or even just want a wee bit of a nosey, please PM me and I'll bring you into the conversation.

  21. RangersMedia Sponsors' Fund is proud to announce our continued sponsorship of Natalie Ross for the new season. Although Rangers Ladies didn’t win the league last season, they came close, and put up a good fight – so much so that Natalie and Megan Sneddon were two of the four nominees for SWF Players’ Player of the Year (Megan won it!). This season, they’ve got off to a flying start, with 4 wins over c*lt*c, Hibs, Hutchison Vale and Buchan, and a draw against Spartans, and are currently sitting clear second in the League, 2 points behind their arch-rivals, Glasgow City. We would encourage all members to consider popping along to one of the Ladies’ home games and lending a bit of support to the Girls in Blue (there’s one home game in May and two in June) The home games are played in Springburn (Petershill Park, Springburn Road – click here for directions, bus numbers etc.) and admission is only £4 for Adults, £2 for OAPs/Concessions and FREE for under 16s (when accompanied with an adult). But even better – as Sponsors, RangersMedia receive 2 free season tickets for all home games – and this year we want to get as much use out of them as possible! So if you fancy a free day out for yourself, or up to a family of four, then just PM govanblue, and he will tell you the “magic word” to grant you free access. If you want, you can even review the game for us. 22. *** Commemorative Medals – End of Season Report I have now posted out all the medals to everyone who was on the order list. (apart from one or two, who didn’t get back to me.) If you wanted any of the 3 medals, and didn’t get them, don’t worry – we can still get them for you. Just PM me and we’ll sort you out. The medals Background: In December 2013, I got a PM from an RM Member who is also a member of the County Armagh RSCs (which is a group of 5 RSCs in Co. Armagh) offering us a donation of 4 Barcelona medals and 4 SFL Division 3 Winners medals for Erskine – one of each medal for each of our 4 sponsored Erskine Homes. The medals are obviously ideal material for the RM Erskine Football Memories Programme, so I gladly accepted. (He also gave me a big pile of World Record Attendance Certificates for the Fund, which proved very popular amongst members. We sold them to members and raised £230 for the RM Erskine Fund. We still have some of these certificates left if you’re interested - £2 each.) Both medals (and the certificates) were commissioned by the County Armagh RSCs for their own members, and to raise money for their chosen charities. (They have a long history of presenting large cheques to many of our favourite charities)... This season, they commissioned a commemorative SPFL Division 1 Winners’ Medal, which has proved very popular, and they are hoping that their medal sales will raise over £10,000 this year! (As I understand it, they are currently engaged with Rangers to set up a fund called "The Ibrox Disaster Memorial Fund” and all proceeds from all their medal sales will be going to that. ) Once I saw the medals, I realised that quite a few RM members (myself included!) would love these themselves, especially since they were non-profit, and supporting good causes. So I bought a few off them, and offered them on to members at cost price. This proved quite popular, and I sold out straight away, so I bought a few more, passed them on, bought a few more, etc. etc. It took 5 months, but hopefully everyone has now got what they wanted. The results: Barcelona Medals (£12 each) Total bought by RM Members: 80 Total raised: £960 Division 3 & 1 Winners Medals (£8 each) Total bought by RM Members: 255 Total raised: £2040 Total medals bought by RM members: 335 Total money raised by RM Members: £3000  Isn’t that a nice round number. So later in the year, when you see Co. Armagh RSCs presenting their massive cheque to the Ibrox Disaster Memorial Fund, you’ll be able to pat yourself on the back, knowing that you and your fellow RM members made a significant contribution towards it - and got some cracking medals too! And as I said, if you missed out on the medals or certificates, PM me and we’ll get you some. And finally, the question on everyone’s lips – “will there be another medal next season?” - Well that depends on the team on the park really.
  23. Attention Sponsors' Fund Members: Does anybody want this Large Print? (for free!) If you do, all you need to do is make a post (of some value ) on the Sponsors' Fund Discussion Thread. http://forum.rangers...pic=272856&st=0 All fund members who post on the thread between now and Sunday 23rd November will be entered into a prize draw to receive the Print. Cool?
  24. Dear fellow Bears, It’s time! The RangersMedia Sponsors’ Fund Season 2014/2015 Annual Membership Renewal / New Membership Drive has now launched. If you know what that means, and you’ve just been waiting patiently to sign up, then you can ignore all the guff below, click this RM Paypal Donate link, and donate your £10 (£10 is the recommended joining fee, but you can donate more if you’re wealthy, or less if you’re not so wealthy) - add your username in the special instruction bit, and PM me your username (and if you don’t mind telling me the donation amount, then that helps me with my running totals). If you don’t know what the above means, then read on… RangersMedia Sponsors’ Fund is now entering its third season, and in order for it to be as successful as the last two seasons, we need you to join. If you’re not sure what the Sponsors’ Fund is then hopefully this link will tell you what the fund was this time last year... http://forum.rangers...entry1060985307 (it’s evolved a bit since then, but in good ways. ) And then last season’s accounts will tell you what we got up to last season… http://forum.rangers...howtopic=264097 . We’ve currently got about £1000 still in our ‘account’ which is enough to pay for one player’s sponsorship, but we now need to raise another £1000 to ensure we maintain our current sponsorship level of two players for what will surely be the most challenging season since the journey began. That equates to 100 RM members signing up with an average donation of £10. [ EDIT: after agreed policy change, we won't be sponsoring a player, instead, we'll be spending the money (current total: £2700) on assorted Rangers Products and Services as agreed by the members. ] So what are you waiting for? Simply go to the RM PayPal Donate page, and donate your chosen amount. (you can use your normal bank card, even if you don’t have a PayPal account). Somewhere during the donate process, if you look very carefully, you may find a link saying “+add special instructions to recipient” or something like that. If you spot it, click on it and add a message like “donation from (your RM Username)” or something similar. If you don’t spot the link don’t worry, Admin will still hopefully be able to match your donation to your username. Once you’ve made the donation, please send me a PM (Private Message) so that I can add you to the members’ list and update the running totals. Your £10 Annual Membership Fee gets you: Your name in the RM Sponsors’ Fund Hall of Fame Full participation / opinion / voting rights in anything Fund-related Eligibility in all competitions/giveaways – last season various lucky members received all sorts of goodies, like Bar72 tickets, Auchenhowie visits, signed shirts, framed shirts, So much that I forget! Exclusive merchandise offers only open to Fund Members. (Ask last season’s members – they got some pretty good bargains, and we’ve got some new ones lined up!) The knowledge that your £10 is being spent supporting Rangers. No ifs or buts The knowledge that your £10 will go a lot further when it’s added to your fellow Bears’ contributions than it would on its own So that’s it. Join the Sponsors’ Fund - because supporting Rangers FC is a Good Thing. Donating via the RM Paypal Page... 25. Rangers Ladies v c*lt*c. Toryglen Regional Football Centre (Next to Hampden), Glasgow Sunday 4th November, 2pm RangersMedia are the official sponsors of this match, and if that’s not worthy of its own thread, I don’t know what is. Ticket Prices: Sponsors’ Fund Members, their friends and family – FREE ENTRY - PM govanblue RangersMedia Members, their friends and family – HALF PRICE Normal Punters - £4 Adult / £2 Concession / Kids: Free Mrs Eagle’s Rangers Charity Shop will also be on hand for you to snap up some of her last available goodies. So I urge all Rangers fans to make their way there. Just mention RM or the fund to get your free entry for you and yours. As sponsors we will be providing 2 mascots for the game and we also get to pick the POTM. What are the odds that it’ll go to Midfielder Natalie Ross, already sponsored by RM? No pressure on Natalie, but her sponsorship is coming up for renewal soon. Top Goal-scorer Suzanne Mulvey (sponsored by a friend of the Fund) has been on good form recently too, so is also in contention – but counting against her is the fact that her sponsor thinks it’s more important to go to Las Vegas than to cheer Rangers Ladies on to an historic victory!
