  1. Name the only three players to have played for Rangers to have scored 20 goals or more in the SPL and the EPL. 1 - 2 - 3 - Winner gets to set the next question should he or she wish.
  2. “Et tu, Brute?” These words, of course, found in Shakespeare's illustrious piece, Julius Caesar, have become immortalised in Western culture to this day, signifying an act of the utmost betrayal from one man to another; an act so often discovered among men of good heart, in times of recklessness and despair. Ultimately, Marcus Brutus leads the siege in his pursuit to assassinate and conspire against the very man he has grown to love, and grown to protect. After much resistance, Caesar finally succumbs to his violent death, dumbfounded and heartbroken, only to encounter one last cold stare of the man who had orchestrated his downfall before he is set to perish; the man who he had always believed would shelter him from harm. The man who he had always trusted. After today's proposed '12-12-18' reconstruction model for Scottish football was agreed upon in principle, 'unanimously', by all twelve clubs in the top-flight, a similar gaze could be witnessed on Letherby Drive behind the brick facade of Hampden Park. SPL chief executive, Neil Doncaster, in pushing for these plans is, without question, staring mercilessly down at the legacy of the game in this country itself, and holds absolutely no remorse for the certain death which will arise, as a result of such ludicrous changes. Charles Green has quite rightfully questioned the need for any delay in the SPL clubs voting through these plans if there is such universal agreement in place as Doncaster claims. Why should they wait? This is the answer to all of Scottish football's woes, is it not? The alarming and, almost desperate, pace of these discussions certainly suggest that. Reconstruction has been an issue gathering much attention for the past 10-15 years, yet, now, we're seeing attempts to rush it through in a matter of months? It's inconceivable. This is what is most worrying. Evidently, there is a distinct lack of honesty at play, and one could be forgiven for thinking that any 'unanimous' decision being boasted is the result of short-term financial panic rather than actual long-term care for the game. Sadly, having scraped the bottom of the barrel for far too long, many SFL clubs will be foolishly attracted by the promise of Doncaster & Regan's 'ghost' money, without finding the voice to support any other possible formats, such as the '14-14-14' set-up, for example, which seems the most practical. Unfortunately, there's a catch in the small-print for these clubs: kiss goodbye to your right to complain about the state of the game ever again. For this is it. This is the last chance for Scottish football to redeem itself. Make no mistake about it: should the clubs of the SFL comply with the terms currently on the table, the Scottish game will never recover. She will have no other choice but to succumb to her own demise, just as Caesar fell to the grounds of Pompey. She will be given no other option than to fall victim to the daggers of 'sporting integrity' yielded against her, as they are launched to the already rotten and diseased core of our national sport. These blades, you see, still stained and tainted with the blood of Rangers Football Club following last summer's blood-lust failed campaign to kill off the Glasgow giants once and for all, are held seldom in the hands of a chosen few. These men cannot be trusted. Their incompetence has been well documented, and their idiocy knows no boundaries. Even now, despite our Austrian and Swiss counterparts in the footballing world having pleaded with our governing bodies to re-consider their model after both having experienced colossal failure in their tried format of three split leagues of eight after a particular point in the season, we're still having this model shoved down our throats. The game will lose interest dramatically, and sponsors will walk from the deceased carcass left behind. But there is no safeguard for Scottish football. Doncaster is not breaking his stare. We are set to suffer the same betrayal.
  3. So if the SPL plans do go ahead and are accepted by the SFL etc. If we win the 3rd division do you think we will be one of the 2nd Division teams invited in to the new top 2 leagues? All things considered etc. i.e. reconstruction goes ahead an we are ok with the governing body etc. Rangers wind Div 3 go into Div 2 New 2 leagues of 12 to include 12 SPL 10 Div1 and 2 Div2 (based on Sporting Merit - aye right!!) 18 teams in New Div 3 Either we will be invited in to SPL2 or left again in Div3
  4. So I missed the fact that Ceptic were beaten by Kilmarnock. Good to know that I've reached the point of almost total disinterest in the SPHell. Hopefully today's result will put us back on top & the away crowd is an impressive size. Shame about the rain.
