Gazzalivesforever 1,987
Would be more believable if your son worked at the piggery. I doubt it somehow
IamRangers 12
I suppose they have previous with windy conditions. Did they not have a game cancelled a few years back due to high winds and their dodgy main stand?
Gazzalivesforever 1,987
I wouldn't object to the game being postponed.

Imodium 410
Can only imagine the outcry if it did and big Goian was cleared to play. Though it did happen after a bereavement and mcgeady was able to play....
islandblue 366
Weather terrible in Glasgow at the moment
dougied123 222
the weather is forecast to be at its worst at 21:00, so im sure there will be a decision made at some point. Remember its only a few weeks ago since they closed schools etc and told everyone only to travel if necessary. The winds are forecast to be as strong today as they were then! PaulRFC1 115
No chance. They wouldn't call it off for heavy rain and this is supposedly only going to last for the morning, the weather is going to get better.
CanadianBacon 2,088
If memory serves, was it not an I.C.T. game v's The Beggars that had to be called off because a large chunk of the roof at the Lisbon Liars Stand was flapping about in a gale, not unlike the one that's blowing today? It wasn't called Breezeblock Boulevard for nothing. Cheap by name, shaddy by nature.

IamRangers 12
If it stays windy then it will play havoc with our silky route 1 football

Tamb 126
Wind is nowhere near as strong as 2 weeks ago, it is wild outside but there is little chance of a postponement. I can hardly wait for kick off.

dougied123 222
to be fair 2 weeks ago the met office issued a red warning about the winds, today its only amber. However, as the OP suggests there will be a decision made at some point regarding the game and the safety of travelling fans. Im sure that the game will go ahead due to the fact its an old firm game. Our kick and rush style just won't work!
