GOAT 30,449
As discussed in the German Membership Scheme thread, would you be interested in this scheme, where the fans own a minimum of 51% of the club and the rest can go to businessmen, companies, rich supporters etc. The way it works is we all pay a membership fee, for a healthy fit over 16 year old fan you pay say £100 per year for the honour in being a member of the club. With that, you are now part of Rangers, you have a vote and right to the agm, you get the Rangers News and matchday programme sent straight to your door. You have a certain percentage of merchandise or ticket prices. You have to be a member of this sceme to get away tickets, and people on this scheme get first refusal of tickets for bigger games, or any game for that matter.I don't think it's unrealistic for 50,000-75,000 to sign up to this yearly and if it's successful in it's first few years why not more? It gives us a good financial boost every year aswell. You wont need to pay the figure in a one if you can't afford it, pay it over a couple of months. Direct debit, cheque, cash, you can do it which ever way suits. What's your opinion, yes or no?
DarcheVinny 1,003
I would borrow money and maybe even sell my season ticket, to buy a stake in the club.Who am I?
Frankie 505
Yes and I'm sure many other fans would as well.Problem is making such a scheme workable while ensuring the people proposing it are credible. This will take time but one hopes Paul Murray et at have spent the last year exploring what is possible.
Creampuff 22,628
I wouldn't be able to say no.
TheNuts 552
is this on top of ST prices?
Nicolas Cage 31
I'd have to answer the call.

DietofWorms 2,063
Yes...I'd rather do this than buy my season ticket, if it was run well.
mafia32 93
i would certainly buy into it but it would have to run by persons with some creditability.
GOAT 30,449
IMO, it gives fans that can't afford ST's a say in how our club is run, and also first refusal on tickets that go to the public.
Adoniram 1,919
All depends who it benefits from the fans side of things.

GOAT 30,449
I posted this thread 20 minutes ago and already we have 1900 quid in the clubs coffers that wouldn't have been....
BlueSuedeSambas 53,715
I don't really understand the ins and outs of how similar run clubs operate but on paper it certainly seems like a good idea.
totobull 17
I would
ScottBF2 3,540
We'd have to elect a Chairmain though, right?

Guardian 4,281
I wouldn't be happy paying it to get Paul Murray back on board. That shyster 9is again trying to use fans money to get hold of Rangers. Someone else we know and hate tried that recently and it didn't work out so well.If it was a credible management I'd be happy to fork out.No more charlatans at Ibrox. wearethemighty 186
Yes, tbf id be willing to pay a lot more over a year as long as it was run properly.
BelterBear 3
Easy yes for me. If we every get quality business men leading our club in the right direction hopefully there will be more ideas like this!
Right_To_Censor 1,951
if it saves my club then yes, yes i would.as long as i get say on where to play players
Leeds_Bear 8,099
We'd have to elect a Chairmain though, right?Walter? That would be immense!Edit. I would also like to see Souness on the board and who knows when Sir Alex retires he might want an important role in The Rangers. I honestly think fans ownership is the way forward for our club.
