KingKirk 25,605
Nothing in this they would've rejected this, that's why they would've been giving the 3 options

G.E.C. 18,714
Hardly a surprise anyway. We have a number of players on peanuts and they'd be absolutely fucked if that happened.
RossS1873 1,656
The next few days will show how committed they are, if they take a 50% cut which means someone loses their job then I would be a bit dissappointed, rather than 75% and every player and others keep a job.But of course I understand there is bills to pay and families to feed, but surely there can be something struck where all the bills are paid out of the club and the players get some money but obviously not as much as usual. Scott-RFC 308
In modern day football its a miracle some are even willing to take cuts. Wouldnt expect any of them to go out and put their careers on the line for nothing in return.
harlands plater 16,958
Bartley looks like an extra from The Wire. Changed days from our players being required to wear a collar and tie even to training.

caseyjones 3,009
Seriously? You can't expect them to go months without pay, that's just daft He's even had the gall to type it next to a photo of Balotelli.

Colonel Mustard 380
So, is there a quote saying that this was presented to the players? The article says that they weren't presented with other options like 75% wage cut, and all the rest of the other publicised cuts, so were they asked to play for nothing? LegendofCoop 17,252
Goes to show not one of them give a fuck about the jersey or the club.. What about those willing to take a 75% wage reduction? Greedy Bastards???
HG5 11,081
On a side note it seems like the papers are going to be going with the 'who has the most sensational headline competition' lets try not to buy into it and wait for our clubs official statement and deal with it from there.Good source tells me the administrators are amazed at level of bullshit the press ars making up - don't believe all you read! chris182 6,279
I'm not surprised they rejected that! Very few people can afford to do anything for free nowadays. Doubt it was a serious proposal to be honest

Ger for life 199
Yes especially Aluko, not only did he pay to play for us but now we ask him to play without pay!!! It is unbelievable. I am holding my opinion on this sorry saga until we have firm, concrete evidence on who is to blame for this mess. By God when that day comes he/they will feel the wrath of the entire Rangers' family. There will be no hiding place for such unscrupulous scum!

gillRFC 0
Can't blame them, even asking them to take a 75% cut is ridiculous. Its a horrible situation to be in but i wouldn't be surprised if some senior players take redundancy and then let Rangers pay the money they are owed at a later date.
