FUDGIE52 9
So in other words those rules give them the power to make it up as they go along, the games a boggie folks.
Carsons Dog 9,878
They should just replace all that gobbledygook with one ruleRule 1 We can punish whoever we want to any extent we want at any time we want for whatever we want.End of rules
'o'rangerblue 89
So the panel, on their own, decided on the maximum fine allowed then thought that wasn't enough, and came up with a 1 year signing ban, which isn't in the list of punishments but did so secure in the knowledge that the rules allowed them to just make it up, by themselves, with no help or guidance, Curly, Larry and Mo. Of course they did, they're independent erm.. well they're transparent.. hmmm, well one of them was threatened ah..Nevermind, Regan, the bastion of fairness, transparency and honesty will sort it out
saintbob1969 1,435
If you read that then 'expulsion from the game' is their strongest sanction, as they need your money they could not do that so...hypocrisy perhaps but the ban is fairly lenient if you consider this, no-one buying us, if anyone is actually buying us, we can't afford big signings anyway. Rangers can only win a cup next season, i am assuming that is why they never kicked us out of that.
Lee Feeney Loyal 12
That's like telling a rape victim ‘look on the brightside love, he could have killed you‘.An unprecedented punishment needs to be fully explained.

foghorn leghorn 608
What about this hypothetical situation- 2012 Scottish Cup final is between Rangers and Celic. What do we do? Do we bycott the final? The official final tickets went on sale at Tynecastle yesterday and we might have had time to stop buying them if it was at Ibrox.Or would we have been chucked out the competition? saintbob1969 1,435
That's like telling a rape victim ‘look on the brightside love, he could have killed you‘.An unprecedented punishment needs to be fully explained. We, or more specifically Murray, have messed up. A punishment is due, everyone accepts it. My reading is that this is not a punishment if you look at it. The fine is paltry compared with some figures. We cannot afford to buy any players anyway so no loss. This, as a punishment, is not really much of a punishment. It is them trying to look like they have done something monumental while keeping Rangers money. As long as we can sign Sone Aluko, sell Lafferty and keep the best of our squad then we have a year to build a good team with no pressure on McCoist. This beats three years of punishments or being sent down to division 3. The 11 million that Kennedy and TBK bring in can pay the squad's wages and hopefully Ticketus can get tae.All we need now is for Whyte and various creditors to play the game. We can't compete with a team of reserves & under 18's, we'll be getting murdered off the likes of kilmarnock and hearts. Like Smith said, we could end up relegated. This is worse than a points deduction, at least with a points deduction, some players would maybe stay on the smaller contracts provided we picekd up a few free transfers and perhaps a couple of loan players until we get back on our feet. Leave the cup and medals and more importantly the SFA and the sponsors in the lurch
