Administrators Statement

Duff and Phelps, the administrators of Rangers Football Club, issued the following statement today.

David Whitehouse, joint administrator, said: "Over the last few days media reports have referred to police interest in the circumstances surrounding the takeover of Rangers Football Club in May last year.

"In particular, an impression has been given that we as administrators are in possession of information which may be of interest to the police but, to date, we have not provided.

"Since being appointed administrators in February, we have had a number of meetings with Strathclyde Police and are co-operating fully with them.

"At no time has any request for information from the police been denied nor delayed in any way.

"It goes without saying that any information in relation to these matters is available to the police. As far as we are aware, a decision has yet to be taken by the police authorities whether an investigation would fall within the jurisdiction of Strathclyde Police or the Metropolitan Police.

"We look forward to that decision being made and will co-operate fully with any investigation. It should also be noted that we have instigated civil proceedings at the High Court in London in relation to the takeover of Rangers."

So the press have been lying again?

Leggo was very vocal today about this - basically saying that D&P are at it and that we, The Rangers support, are culpable in part.

And there was me thinking that if the Police need information and don't get it then trouble usually follows for the refuseniks.

good news. sounds like the cops need to get the finger out and have been making excuses.

I honestly do not believe its about excuses.

Forensic accounting is highly specialised and that could be why D&P mention the Met also being involved. Hopefully their experts will work with Strathclyde's finest and all the guilty bastards will be duly punished.

I still have a feeling this is all going to fall back on SDM there is no way he is innocent in any of this he is the reason we are in this mess then Whyte came along and if even possible made things worse, him and Whyte have disgraced this club and I hope they get whats coming to them.

SDM - Your not safe yet, squeaky bum time me thinks.....

Would it not simply be because Rangers Group is registered as a company operating out of London? They are the parent company of Rangers Plc.

People have to pay for the state of our great club. Just who the f*ck do they think they are? Whyte putting PAYE into his pocket, the JELA money... And Minty?

These guys think they are above the law. I sincerely hope they do jail time. And not at some country club either. Hard labour with a cell mate that thinks they are attractive.
