airdriebluenose 351
Transfer embargo, so a free agent isn't a transfer? My thoughts are, Aluko and McCulloch's contracts expire on 1st June, I believe, which makes them free agents. On 6th June Hopefully we agree a CVA and come out of administration. Are we allowed to re-sign Aluko and McCulloch? Are we allowed to sign Gattuso, as he is a free agent? El Carpintero 546
No. Unless they are under 18. Time we found the best kids in Europe and offered them a platform to play. We badly need a few strikers. Another dull, shite and predictable season coming up.
Thommo 708
Yes, you can re-sign current players.

airdriebluenose 351
So it is impossible for Aluko to play for us next year?

jaffa 0
No - its not an actual transfer ban, its a registration ban - the SFA wont register any player for us, so technically we could sign a player but he would not be register with the SFA until the ban is up
hemdale1873 167
Nope we can't sign anyone free or not, not even sure if guys like Aluko or Jig could be resigned if their contract runs out.We could end up with a squad of 15 players next season. WaltersGotStyle 159
We can resign players I.e Aluko and jig
PeterheadBear 1
Ffs. We can't register any new players over 18. We can extend contracts of current players already registered.
alan_himself 45
there has been the ocassion where clubs have held onto registrations despite the player being a free agent, in the case of aluko when he left aberdeen, unless im confused, so if we have aluko registered to us currently, as long as we give him a new contract after its ran out and he doesnt want to go elsewhere he will remain registered to us,
stampyurie 203
We can resign players already on the books that are expiring sone, jig, healy, kerkar etc

airdriebluenose 351
We can resign players already on the books that are expiring sone, jig, healy, kerkar etcOkay, I just don't understand this...We can't extend any contracts when we are in administration, correct? We can't come out of administration until 6th June at the earliest. So by 6th June, Aluko and McCulloch will no longer be employed by Rangers FC, so how can we give them a contract?Sorry for all the questions but I really can't get my head around this one. allanh91 75
Current players can have contracts re-negotiated. But no signings of any kind, loan, free agent or fee unless they're under 18.
