The New FC Rangers 2012:

To Uefa - anti corruption

Are the scottish football authorities allowed to make the decision for New Rangers to enter the first division therefore bypassing other clubs who want to join the scottish football league AND bypass all clubs in divisions three and two?

The authorities now state that there is the possibility that member clubs will not be allowed to vote on this. Surely that is a breach of both scottish football and uefa regulations.

In previous years, two other Scottish football clubs - Gretna and Livingston- were both demoted to the third division when their clubs became insolvent with sets a precedent for what must happen to this new entity. Gretna were unable to commit to fulfilling their football obligations and left the scottish senior leagues completely.

New Rangers manager Ally McCoist has also stated he believes they should begin in Division three as do c80% of the New Rangers fans according to New Rangers.

“Are the finances more important than the massive integrity and honesty of the Scottish game?

“Short term we don’t want to be in the Third Division but we’ll accept that.

“I have to re-build. Going into the Third Division gives us the best chance to do that".

“Having said that, we’ve had meetings with our supporters and towards 80 per cent have said enough is enough, let’s go to SFL 3.

I am sure if you contacted Scottish football league clubs they would also highlight that there appears to be misleading information being given to them due to the authorities clear desire to parachute New Rangers into division 1. In view of the above, it is clear there is a clear lack of trust from member clubs on the competency, honesty and moral fibre of the various football authorities in Scotland and in view of the allegations made, we would ask that you investigate these and also step in immediately to ensure that the wishes of he member clubs are listened to and acted upon.

There is a serious risk to the future of scottish football and the onus is on the fans, the clubs and the governing bodies including Uefa to ensure the correct action is taken which is New Rangers beginning in Division three in line with clubs wishes and precedents the authorities themselves have set. It is clear that the governing bodies are trying to protect TV and sponsorship monies and will say this is necessary to save clubs however he clubs themselves are best served to decide on this and their views are clear. They are considering the views of their fans and know how many will turn their back on Scottish football for good.

The fans views unfortunately means absoutely nothing to the football authorities.

Thanks

Could UEFA and FIFA have made it any clearer over the years that they are not there to get involved in things that are being managed by that countries association...they must get sick of saying that to these serial complainers.

Their complaints are hardly worth comment anymore...does anyone really still care what these clubs, or supporters, are saying...... :sleep1:

They could have at least got a member who knows how to formulate a letter to write it for them.

This is the result of going to a sectarian school.

English is a second language to them.

Sore in every subject............... especially in the arse after the priest's been there.
