Clarkyyy 450
Record today says he's back due to a fault in his registration in Spain !! .. Just hope he doesn't go down the free transfer route now
simplythebest 11,453
He couldn't join another team on a free until January if this is the case, players need to be free agents before the window shuts. Unless there was special dispensation.

Nothing on the Twitter-sphere yet. This is not good news for those of us who wanted to see him return next year, imagine he will be gone on a free in Jan or released by mutual consent if MLS can sign him (their international window closed July 27th so not sure there). Rangers Rob 29
Can he play? We won't be able to register him, will we?He's already registered to us, just loaned to Santander. Should be treated same as if we (or them) canceled it.Loan would have expired before the signing ban did anyways, right?

Do we not have to separately register a squad with the SFL for league games, we could only register a squad of 22.
Rangers Rob 29
So apparently free agents can be signed in MLS through September 15th, so they could potentially come to an agreement to release him so he could play there. As a returning US National Team player Bocanegra would be subject to the allocation order and Toronto FC would have first dibs on him. If this happened Toronto could simply sign him, they could take him and work a trade with another MLS team for him, or they could pass on him and keep the top spot in the order (unlikely as it resets at the end of the year and no one else noteworthy is likely to return, and the rosters freeze Sept 15th).Current MLS Allocation Order:1. Toronto FC2. Chivas USA3. San Jose Earthquakes4. DC United5. Portland Timbers6. Chicago Fire7. Columbus Crew8. FC Dallas9. Vancouver Whitecaps10. Seattle Sounders FC11. Sporting Kansas City12. Real Salt Lake13. Houston Dynamo14. LA Galaxy15. Montreal Impact (Eddie Johnson)16. Colorado Rapids (Kamini Hill)17. Philadelphia Union (Bakary Soumare)18. New York Red Bulls (Luis Robles)19. Rangers Rob 29
Most of they names are an abortion! never names for football clubsThey've actually gotten better over the last few years, when the league first started the team now known as FC Dallas was the Dallas Burn and the now Red Bull New York (owned by Red Bull, ala FC Red Bull Salzburg) were known as the New York-New Jersey Metro Stars. Some of the new names are a bit too poserish though, "Real Salt Lake" (take on Real Madrid) when there is no Spanish royalty in Utah to bestow the title upon them, "Sporting Kansas City" when they are an MLS franchise and not a 'Sporting Club' (don't offer other sports). Rangers Rob 29
Someone on Follow,Follow pointed out that teams in the English Championship can loan in players from September 8 to November 25, would allow us to send him back out on loan and still get him back with a year on his contract. Rangers Rob 29
Is this good news ?Think he would leave in Jan. on a free if he couldn't find another temporary move, won't keep his spot in the US National Team playing in SFL3 and the write up on Rangers' website said his wages were too high for us at this level. southcoastbear 1,639
Shadow of the player he was last season, if he going to stay we need some commitment he is going to get stuck in or else I wouldn't bother even giving him bench space. A few weeks out might change his mind as then he's guaranteed of losing his USA spot if it continues. May seem a little harsh to many of his fans in here but if he is going to stay he needs a boot up the arse because what he was shovelling up until now is not good enough and I hope Jig keeps the captaincy he should have had in the first place IMO. LeeWallaceRFC 3,920
Anybody who thinks this is good, we got rid of him for a reason i.e. his wages doesn't match his ability.Nothing against Boca, I love him. But he hasn't been great at the start of the season, what it's down to, I don't no. Exhaustion etc? Playing too much recently?
