Roger Mitchell is a Celtic supporter and all-round disaster. Here's an article from WSC in January 2003 when he left the SPL. I particularly liked:

After four and a half years in what was presumably a pretty hot seat, Mitchell leaves the SPL in a right old state. The television deal they signed at the start of this season is worth roughly a third of the previous one. Attendances are down across the board. The 12 member clubs have a collective debt of £140 million and ten of them are currently serving out their two-year notice of resignation.

----------------------------------------

Mitchell was a disaster on an unprecedented scale....another in the long line of bowling club committee members entrusted with a multi million pound business.

So basically the purpose of the article is to brand Mr Green as a rabble rouser.

"For Scottish football, the days of enlightenment around the Tommy Burns funeral are long gone, and I fear the worst." Those days were doomed when celtic decided that football is business, and business is war; when they opted to appoint an aggravator to be the manager of an old firm club, and when the media played the victim card on his behalf; when celtic orchestrated their campaign to influence the referees. Those days were put out of reach when the media became a one sided mouthpiece for celtic propaganda - the likes of which we debate now; when our government took our free speech in order to make a political football of us; when SPL discipline panels met in secret to concoct inappropriate and vindictive punishments, and when our manager was punished for seeking transparency.

It's a litany of aggravation not close to the entire picture. Yes: it's war, but Charles Green did not declare it, and nor did Rangers fire the opening shots. Days of enlightenment? If only the celtic minded had been enlightened enough not to stir the hornets nest in the first place.

For a man that uses the word fact a lot, he called us sevco which is no longer the companies name. Get your facts straight fact boy.

And the pish about liquidation of our club, and the "fact" we have no titles, flies in thr face of everything HMRC and D&P have said.. more pish from fact boy.

How these journo cunts get to print whatever lies they want, astounds me.

And Uefa

Incorrect. Newco bought RANGERS FOOTBALL CLUB from Oldco the SPL refused to accept the transfer of share. There was NO automatic expulsion rule. The only rule was that the board had to vote on acceptance of the share transfer, they abrogated their responsibility to the clubs, who in turn did the same to their fans. Let's not alter history as many of our enemies are good at. The SPL rejected RANGERS FOOTBALL CLUB, we were not 'automatically' expelled because of newco.

Selective quoting and misrepresenting his words, another stellar tactic of our enemies. The full comment was in regard to no-one purchasing the club, in which case the CLUB AND the COMPANY would have ceased to exist. In reality, RANGERS FOOTBALL CLUB was purchased and transferred out of administration into a newco, leaving the oldco with nothing but cash and liabilities to be liquidated (it still hasn't yet, FACT).

Quite simply, no.

Of course that is what you want, the truth buried. You can dig and twist and spout propaganda all you want. Green has you all on the back foot and retreating faster than the Italians.

Interesting that you should raise that because to any fair minded commentator the answer is obviously no. We paid for the players, never missed a wage and only went into administration because a crook took us over. Thanks for helping our case.

We all know your mind and that says enough about your position.

While the article that the Op has posted is no doubt written by a rhabid beast, it does us no favours to try re-write history. Charles said that if Dave King got his way and the cva was refused, that our whole history and tradition would be swept aside. The full comment wasnt in regard to nobody purchasing our club, it was in regard to the cva failing and us going the newco route. Link to video below so people can decide for themselves.

Its open to debate what he meant about our "history and tradition" would be swept aside, but denying he said it in regards to a cva failure, is only lying to yourself.

The way I see it Charles has rightly said what he's said. He's made it clear what the strengh of opposition is to this SPL stunt.

Fact is the SPL will decide what it wants to decide. There will an escalation of the war of words, maybe a legal war, maybe worse in the sense that whatever relations still exist between the SFA, SPL and its clubs, and Rangers will be even more broken than they currently are. So lets just get on with it and we'll fight each cause as we must.

One thing in all of this though...........I don't see anyone independent of all of this who has the respect of all parties who can start to work out some sort of acceptable solution. The point being that SPL and SFA are rushing lemming-like at high speed towards football anarchy - and it is of their own making as we have taken our punishments but it seems that they have a bloodlust thirst to dish out more.

I cannot believe that true Rangers fans would entertain any of the pish that Mitchell wrote, he is an insignificant little fly who tells insignificant little lies.

CHARLIE SAYS; FUCK EM!

It was written in a national newspaper, so we should take notice of whats said. Ignoring things we dont like or dont agree with got us in this mess in the first place. This is a case of charlies previous comments coming back to bite him and us in the arse. This is the problem when you say things that you either dont know about, or to try convince supporters to come around to your way of thinking.

Sometimes in our situation, silence is golden from our owners. The onus is on them to prove liability, not on us to prove innocence. This whole, "its nothing to do with me" defence can only end badly.

Wrong again. Regional newspaper, read by the gargantuan figure of..........40 thousand.

Just so you can relate it to something: thats less people than are in Ibrox every second week or so.

So you don't think this is a Stitch up by the SPL/CFC/SFA/? You just think the SPL are doing the correct thing dragging up something they where in charge of at the Time .

They knew everything, and they where in charge of everything to do with these EBT/Contracts .

Its that simple ,they had ample opportunity as CG said, so what's your opinion ? Guilty are we ?Don't you think they have already decided to strip Titles, and or Fine us, and further ridicule, and chastise Rangers FC ? The SPL/SFA/CFC AND EVERY OTHER CLUB IN IT WANT US DEAD AND BURIED NO END.

Just say Yes or No.

<div><br></div><div>Facts are we will take all this to Court, and involve the rest of them .</div><div>This aint no Independent Tribunal.</div>

Aye very good. That makes all of my other points invalid. You do know you can read newspapers online, dont you? So typical of some people on here to try find the smallest detail to pick on instead of dealing with the real point of the post. Whatever floats your boat.

dignified silence has worked real well for us in the past sure enough.

Its read (and taken seriously) by an extreme minority in this country. Those of them that can read anyway. These little no-mark journalists are not the problem.

Charles has already said he has utmost respect for the panel that will judge on it, so i cant see how we wont get a fair hearing. His defence is its fuck all to do with him, so we have nobody from the club present to defend our position.

Of course they all want us dead, i dont think ive ever disputed that. Maybe he has received rock solid legal advice that means that pleading ignorance is the best way to go. If thats the case, he should just let it play out in the courts, because thats where it will be heading when the ruling goes against us.

If the worst case scenario happens and they do decide to strip titles, will we stop singing about 54 titles? Will our memories be erased of any titles they strip? Its nothing but a legal battle, that has very little to do with football. Leave it in the courts, not on the battlefield.

Personally, i cant believe the easy ride charles is getting for saying our history is swept aside if the cva fails. Just as well hes not on this forum, otherwise hed be tarred and feathered before he got a dozen posts.
