Green up for Blues and orange. The sun are about 2 days late but here goes.

RANGERS chief Charles Green revealed the team could wear ORANGE strips.

The Ibrox supremo would not rule out the controversial choice at a talk-in with supporters in Belfast.

When asked if the club would consider an orange kit, he is reported to have said: "Yes, they have a number of designs and are coming near agreement with Adidas."

A source for the Glasgow giants said: "We are not closing the door on any options."

Gers supporters wore orange Holland shirts for the Scottish Cup Final in 2000, in honour of Dutch manager Dick Advocaat.

Two years later the club launched a tangerine away strip and in 2005 they put a range of orange gear on sale — but they faced accusations of fuelling bigotry by adopting the colour.

Only in Scotland. Thankfully Green will not listen to these bigots the way Murray did.

Go figure, always looking for the negative.

We produce an orange strip and get called bigots while the great unwashed from across the city fly the flag of a foreign nation on theirs??

Welcome to the Republic of Scotland guys, if we become an independent nation I for one will be upping sticks.

That is their aim, not just you, all of us. Not fancy hanging around for the fight?

This is our country, we wear the colours that are traditionally and historically linked to our Club and Orange happens to be one of them. Thousands upon thousands of Orangemen and Women the World over support The Rangers and always have done. So why do the Club have to explain that to anybody, especially to anti British bigots who we welcomed with open arms when things were tough for them only for them to repay us by turning on us like rabid dogs when the situation suited them. We will fly the Union flag when it suits us, we will fly the St Andrews cross when it suits us, we will fly the Red Hand when it suits us. And if declan doesn't like it there isn't a wall around this country keeping him in ! :sherlock:

Orange is a deeply significant colour in British history because it represents the monarch consenting to rule with parliament ... indeed many of the countries that people most want to live in across the globe like Canada, the US, Australia and New Zealand owe their parliamentary democracy to this event

The thing that annoys me about all this is they can do what they want i.e. the famine badge, celtic cross (nowt to do with their official badge) but as soon as we do anything, we're bigots. The orange order used to have massive gatherings at ibrox, until Murray put a stop to it, also our ulster connections, so why can't we celebrate our history. We should go for it. If they say anything about it fk them. Where does green (the colour) have anything to do with Scottish football? But they get away with it all the time & the main reason is because we sit back & let them. Fed up with reading things like "we're not like them" or "don't complain, we're better than that". We should get into them, look where we are now & part of it is cause we've rolled over & said nowt. Get an orange top out & show them we'll do what we want. Remember, the republic flag is green, white & ORANGE (NOT gold). The white was supposed to signify peace between the green (tims) & orange (prods).
