Season Ticket Removal Help

Hi Guys,

Needing some advice. On Saturday I was escorted from the stadium and had my season ticket took off me for wait for it Standing up. Now I do not think we were 5 minutes in to the game when G4s came marching down to my seat, Gf1 Row F, to tell me to sit down, which would be fair enough if I was the only person standing. As I was not and pointed this out to Mr Steward Supervisor 0282 and asked for an explanation as to why I had to sit down yet other people were standing. I then got took down to Kiosk area where I had 4 stewards and 2 police officers around me refusing to answer my question. It was at this point a police officer informed me I "would be getting lifted" if I didn't stop talking. His explanation for this was he had enough of listening to me, the same police officer also said he heard me shouting and swearing from where he was standing at back of the stand, which was a lie as I hadn't swore or raised my voice at all during this farce of a situation. Steward 0282 then asked for my season ticket and I refused to give him it. I was then informed by the the officer who had lied previously that If i did not hand over my season ticket I would be in the cells for the weekend.

As you can imagine I'm raging at this and just wondering if anyone knew how I would go about getting my season ticket back and how to go about putting a complaint in to Rangers as this is not the first time we have had over the top stewarding in this area.

Cheers

I find it a little hard, Not impossible, to believe they kicked you out and stole your ST when you were just being a good lad. But like tim (the abbreviation of your name, theiconicman, is slightly strange :craphead: ) said, call the TO and explain is your best bet

You could phone the club

0871 702 1972

Option 8 - General enquiries and try to discuss there.

or you could write to David Martin, Chief of Security at Ibrox

The Rangers Football Club

Ibrox Stadium

150 Edmiston Drive

Glasgow

G51 2XD

Thanks mate.

Have you dealt with this guy before? Heard he's not the best to deal with

Heard the same and I wouldn't hold out much hope.

I can only suggest you write a politely worded letter outlining your long attendance at Ibrox and the surprise at the handling by the stewards/ police.

These days it's far too easy for people to just ignore you leaving you with virtually no recourse.

Best of luck.

David Martin is a clown who will just look down his nose at you, he wont let you explain your side of the story and will treat you like a little kid

the probable outcome will be you will get ur season ticket back and be threatened that if he has to speak to you again you will be barred from Ibrox

Outrageous bullying tactics from the stewards who should be there to help and assist you, in addition to ensuring that your visit to Ibrox is an enjoyable experience. Write to Charles Green explaining that their tactics are akin to stormtroopers and that many fans are complaning that they wont come back whilst they adopt their strong arm approach.

Best of luck

I sit in GF1 Row D, just to the right of you infact and seen it all, in my honest opionion you should have just sat down but there was guys round about you that were standing, including guys infront of you obstructing your view of the pitch. I felt the steward singled you out because (no offence) you were a kid compared to the others standing and the steward bottled it from the older bears that were standing. You weren't swearing, you did raise your voice but only after the steward started screaming at you. The steward also grabbed you by the arm which I don't think they are allowed to do?

I am willing to give a statement, season ticket number and perhaps even try and convice the bears that sit about us to give statements.
