Would it not make more sense...

if instead of boycotting a Scottish Cup game that we will be getting a share of the gate money anyway, we boycott an SPL game in the future where we will receive diddly-squat?

This is not a game where we will be giving them our money to go to their stadium and watch the game, we will receive a share of the gate as a condition of being in the Cup, so essentially the money we will be spending will come back to us rather then go into their greedy pockets. (never forgive them for charging us again after the game was PP'd)

Personally id want the team to know we were behind them in the cup and give them our full support. That could be the difference between winning and losing this game.

If we were to reject the allocation im more than sure their fans would make more of an effort to fill our allocation! It would be more effective if we took our allocation and did not go. (this would hurt the pockets of people who have already paid for a ticket for this game when renewing a season ticket)

Lets just bide our time and hit them harder when we boycott an SPL game. We will get our chance, and this is not it...

It's a statement of intent, it shows everyone (especially if on TV) that this is what the future holds for SPL clubs who wlecome Rangers.

No more of them budgeting because we pack their shitty grounds, no more leaching onto our fans!

People will be asking why have Rangers not got any support and they will get the answer we have all been saying since Feb last year!

but if we were to reject, do you not think their fans would make more of an effort to spite that and fill our allocation? A full stadium of them would be very daunting for our team.

Nah they have not sold out their ground this season even with a derby so this will never be a sell out.

Our team will know the reasons and guys like Black, Jig, Wallace, Temps, Perry, ALexander ect have played in various intimidating atmospheres in their time.

United have shite atmospheres at their ground from memory.

They're hardly likely to fill their stadium and I'd say if we intend to boycott thses teams, it's makes no diffirence what competion it is we're playing in.

But there's free choice in this matter and if you want to give your money, that is entirely your choice. It's not right or wrong, just your choice.

I think a boycott will indeed show those clubs whose supporters and club officials tried to annihilate us, that we are serious about the sanctions WE will impose on them. Cripple them financially as this is the most effective way we can retaliate. Our finances are what they seek, deny them this. I am certain that Ally will fire the team up by letting the team know WHY the boycott taking place and they will be inspired to beat the sods who were willing to see Rangers FC being consigned to the scrapheap.

Tannadump holds 14k.

They got 10k for Celtic ta home last month.

They got 13k in their biggest match of the season, dundee derby a fixture been missing from the calendar for years.

These figures compensate for 2 the biggest away allocations aswell, and also includes season-ticket holders, already paid for.

Not in your nelly would they sell out 14k tickets of home fans only, non-inclusive of Season Tickets, factor in the game likely to be televised.

And even if they somehow did, we'd get about 40% anyway, which would sicken them.

They also made a point that the Dundee derbys create bigger crowds than Rangers games, thus continuing their lack of need for our fans to attend their dump of a ground.

Seems like a sensible thing to give them what they want, poverty!!!

I thought they would make an effort when they voted us out the SPL, but they didn't. How many tickets are we supposed to get anyway?

You've got to remember the Dundee Derby most of them were Dundee fans.

Dundee united don't even have 14k fans on this planet

We aren't going back to the SPL, at least that's what Charlie says, so we won't be able to do a boycott later.

No it would not make more sense. Why is it so hard for some of our supporters to boycott an spl club who desperately wanted to destroy us. Don't give them any of your money. If you do then you just encourage the spl to believe that they can strip titles from us and you'll still turn up at their shitty grounds and keep them afloat.

If this happened then we would also get cash.

Besides yheres a principle in it.

And as someone pointed out we wont be going back to the SPL .

Its broken.

BTW, thier fans might want to boycott the nasty, cheating Rangers, as they see us.

They would if they had any honour, which they don't, just an agenda.

What, at our ground? How many do they bring; probably max 2 or 3,000. Hardly damage our income if they didn't turn up.

That prick Thompson deserves not 1 penny of Bears money after trying his level best to shut us down and a few years back making us pay again for a rearranged game.

The man said that everyone in Scotland hates Rangers so i cannot believe some Bears are even debating this.

BOYCOTT TANNADICE :7325:
