ForeverBlue_Since91 2,895
Rangers will this week reveal they've agreed a 2 year youth exchange programme with Juventus. The plan involves Juventus sending players from their youth squad to Glasgow on loan, with Rangers youngsters being given the chance to train in Turin to aid their development. The agreement was reached during the Italian side's visit to Murray Park last week.

GrangemouthRSC 832
Source??Sounds good, as long as we don't end up like Watford, who have about 8 Udinese players on loan.
Marco Negri's Beard 1,423
If true, there are many folk who are gonna look like fucking idiots for assuming that allowing Juve to use our facilities was simply an attempt to wind up the lot from across the city Here's hoping
TheKingObv 10,599
Not apply with the end bit tbhI assume we'll have the option to reject, also.

scarkev 3,540
Great news, apart from the bit about their option to buy.As long it's for good money and we benefit with some of their players then it could be very worthwhile.
The Monk 3,207
From that it sounds as though it doesn't really benefit us tbh, why do we want players on loan it's our own youth we should develop
ScottBF2 3,540
I assume we'll have the option to reject, also. That would just be completely pointless."You'll have the option to sign any of the players you like, but we can refuse."So it's just like any other transfer?"Aye"
gordonb23 99
Great bit of business from Charles Green if true. And the media thought letting Juve train at MP was a crass move to wind up the tims
cushynumber 25,178
so juve pick the best? how does this benefit us in long run as whats the point of us sending lads to turin if juve just cherrypick the best?

Some people are never fucking happy. Get a fucking grip of yourselfs "i'm not happy with that if their allowed to sign our players" What the fuck is up with yous? Are we not allowed to sell players, are our players not allowed to leave us, are we not allowed to bring in better youth players from better youth systems in betters countries?Rangers have the same option as juve. Gash07 26
So we swap youngsters but the Italians go back home, whilst any of ours deemed good enough stay in Italy? Am I reading that correctly? That doesn't seem good.
Muirheadbear 1,483
So as I see it we will get youth players who are nowhere near first team plans. Then if they liked the look of any (unlikely I know) gems we unearthed they nab them.If the players we get are good they'll probably take them back. And if the players we get are mediocre then we get little benefit but probably hang onto them that bit longer! That sounds like a deal which Juve have far mre to gain than us. legalbeagle 3,734
If true, surely we can appreciate that players not good enough for Juve may well be good enough for us over the next two years! We would certainly have a lot to gain.

This is the future of a financially well run football club.

MasterD 7,430
Need the finer details to really comment on this.If we were getting reasonable fees then I don't have a problem with them getting 1st options on young players, let's be honest there is 10000/1 chance of them ever wanting 1.
