bawsburst 1,381
After all the recent events involving our club the authorities and those who would have buried us, here is a very salient and important point.Scottish football survived for around 11/12 months without Rangers and the blue £ in the spl which affected Scottish football throughout, are any hand wringers or appeasers now in any doubt as to the power weilded by that blue £.We owe them all of them nothing they owe us plenty, their headlong panic into change only proves how much they need and rely on our TV rights, I wonder will our board see this the same way and begin to extract retribution. Jamesbond 4
Im afraid you are twisting the facts to suit your beliefs. Scottish football may need Rangers but as things stand we also rely on Scottish football to provide us with teams to play on a regular basis. We may have the greatest pull in Scotland as far as a loyal fan base and the greatest support, however like it or not we still rely on the other teams in Scotland to provide us with competition going forward , so to some extent we all stand or fall together

Guardian 4,281
The implosion is far from over. The recon is merely rearranging the deckchairs in the titanicHertz in admin til next year, killie and Dunfermline in turmoil, a growing crisis at Aberdeen and the rest bar the tims, struggling badly. This is a long way from being over.

allgers 735
Is a handwringer someone who does not agree with you, an appeaser someone who peels apples, meaningless labels. With the exception of St Mirren, Ross County, ICT and the scum SPL teams are in a bad way and will only get worse, while we are in the 2nd division we need do nothing more than look on and enjoy while they fall apart. I will watch whilst others fail neither gloating not feeling sorry for their passing (well, maybe just a bit) and hope we have a league left to go to. Re the handwringers etc - please allow open debate rather than labeling people just because they say something different to you. Calgacus 88
The weakness in the OP's argument is that all these Clubs got into their financial situation with Rangers in the League. So the "Blue Pound" didn't help them very much then.

allgers 735
There is plenty of appeasers at our club.Last year saw a quite remarkable event, two large scale fan movements. One destructive the other constructive, both had as their focal point The Glasgow Rangers. There is no other team in Scottish football can galvanise opinion more, yes, we need to use our voice against partial and unfair treatment, but we need to use it wisely, most of all we need to pick battles we can win.
