I recall that he was desperate to come and play for us.Pretty sure I read somewhere we took him on trial but he injured himself the week before, was something daft like he stood on a nail and he couldn't put pressure on his foot! Needless to say he didn't play well and we didn't take him on. Still not sure why we would take a player of that quality on trial, he was an absolute goal machine wherever he went in his prime.
