tannerall 25,935
A tanner ball player was a skilful wee football player who could literally turn on a sixpence and bamboozle the opposition with his skills.http://www.soccer5s.com/blog/posts/the-tanner-ball-playerMy favourite "tanner ball" players were Tommy McLean and Franco Causio of Juventus.Nowadays Pirlo is a good example.Who do you rate as "Tanner Ball Players" ?(Its also where my user name came from tannerball, first time I used it on a fantasy football though I mistyped it as "tannerall" and stuck with it. )

Laudrup1984 25,100
There are some but there doesn't seem to be as many as there used to be. Going back a few years i'd say Ronaldinho, Jay Jay Okocha, Rivaldo, Zidane, Bergkamp, Ginola, Hagi, Baggio and Kinkladze (I used to love that guy!) spring to mind.Rangers wise, Laudrup, Mols, R De Boer and Amato for me! tannerall 25,935
Strachan was a wee irritating bugger when he played against us, but to be fair was the same against them, another typical tanner ball player. One way off beam, but I have watched Joey Barton a few times and he fits the bill for me. Class footballer, shame about his character, he made Andy Carroll look international class when they were together at Newcastle.
