simplythebest 11,453
Uruguay aren't actually looking to protest this, are they ? The guy's a fucking scumbag. I really wish he'd got the 2 year ban.Uruguay seem to be far too in awe of him

Kaiser Wull 203
It's all Liverpool's fault - they should never have appointed Count Dracula as the team's nutritionist.
JamieD 18,937
He has been banned for 34 games since 2010 without ever receiving a red card
daviecooper01 826
This ban is very poor. The international ban is pretty meaningless 1 game or 9, he is still out of the World Cup (odds on Uruguay end up with a LOT of friendlies scheduled soon)He will miss 9 Premiership games plus any cup & CL games before 26th October. For me, a sine die ban would have been the ultimate sanction - chuck him out the game.Or at the VERY least a 12 month complete ban from football. He has now been banned for biting 3 times, racism once, and is a diving cheat - ref the deliberate on the line hand ball last world cup.Yet he seems to learn nothing each time he is punished. So what happens WHEN (not if) he does it again? Jelavic191 4,438
It's a wonder he hasn't been arrested at some point for it tbh. If I were to walk down the street and bite someone I'd probably get done for assault or something. I agree with the post above he's done too much and has obviously not learned from it - ban should've been longer.

BlueSuedeSambas 53,782
Seems like a tame ban tbh.He will be almost half way through his stadium ban before the season even starts proper.

folkestoneger 8,135
Sounds about right. The thing to remember here is that it's Saurez himself being punished, not Uruguay or Liverpool. How many other club sides have been " not punished" by losing their star player for transgressions in an international fixture? folkestoneger 8,135
The answer is none because they obviously would be punished by ;losing their star player for something that has nothing to do with them. The idea that only Suarez is being punished is nonsense,

However, they need to claim reparations from Suarez.

Even if all they care about is protecting a valuable asset, rather than any sense of decency.
OlegKuznetsov 10,816
I'd like to see Chiellini or Suarez's inevitable next victim sue him and FIFA for their dereliction of their own duty of care to protect players going about their profession. Player and governing body alike have been warned repeatedly.
Bighouse 1,012
Fucking disgrace when the greatest player walking Gods earth can't bite who he wants when he want's.If Chiellini had any class he would have offered him dessert and been grateful for the opportunity of sharing a pitch with him. Half of them seem to think they are doing this to punish liverpool, do they not realize only way to punish is to keep him away from football. Should be angry at Suarez not Fifa! Should be angry at Suarez not Fifa! It's hilarious the levels of delusion coming from LFC and Uruguay. They're not punishing Liverpool, they're punishing Suarez and Liverpool just happen to be the idiots employing a cannibal. You can't employ someone like that and then claim injustice when he gets punished for biting when you knew hes already biten twice before
72barca 1,788
When his suspension ends at the end of October, that gives LFC Nov. and Dec. to get him match-fit before selling him in the Jan. window
