simon 1,743
Anyone saying that wasn't a red needs their eyes tested. Have seen a few folk on here saying it was soft, dubious etc. Templeton was lucky not to have been seriously injured.
simplythebest 11,453
Aye, was a red for me, with Templeton's injury history thought that might be him done at first
cushynumber 25,178
Law 12 of the Laws of the Game lists the categories of misconduct for which a player may be sent off. These include Serious foul play (a violent foul). It was defo a violent foul. Off he goes.
now then forever 298
I was just about to post the exact same thing. Can't be believe some people on here saying it was soft etc. He lunged in to a sliding tackle from behind using the scissor motion (both feet). It was dangerous, wreckless and could have seriously injured templeton. Stone wall red card. You just had to look at the player after the challenge he knew it was a bad one. Courtyard Bear 41,357
Thought it was harsh last night but having watched the highlights it was a shocking challenge and deserved a red.
legalbeagle 3,734
To be honest the person I have seen on here arguing most that it was soft is someone who wanted us to lose last night.
CaptainAmerica18 846
I haven't seen it again but at the time I thought it was a definite red.

OlegKuznetsov 10,816
Wasn't surprised to hear a few with an agenda in the media describe it as harsh.
Captain Hilts 12,819
a scissor challenge from behind - definite red card
mitre_mouldmaster 21,509
It was a red, wouldnt say that it was the worst foul I have ever seen though. The scissor movement was there which meant he had to go, but I felt it was a bit half hearted, dont think he was trying to injure him to be fair on the hibs player.Dont see how anyone could say it was not a red though. bombaybadboy08 15,660
Will watch it again but my opinion after around 3 viewings is that it was soft.
RFCstuart 317
Last night I didn't think it was a red at all, was shocked when the ref sent him off. Haven't seen it since.

Shearer 124
It was a red, you can't slide in from behind with both feet. It wasn't the worst tackle ever but it's still dangerous.
