McCall did a superb job at SPL level with Motherwell, and beat the tims on many an occasion in the process. I'd take him in an instant until the end of the season and take it from there. He would marshall us well for the big game in January.

Davies is overrated. He's been sacked a couple of times, and while he did well guiding Derby to the Prem, whenm they got there they got one of or the very worst points total ever.

Davies is a much more succesfull manager than McCall. No competition.

Apparently the times he was sacked were for clashing with the chairman about his interfering in tactics, and upsetting players with heavy workload. Exactly the guy we need at this club.

Holloway would be good one, McLeish would do the business.....McCall would be cheap and good proven good manager and If Im honest deserves the chance.

Ally must go.

McCall is only a proven good manager if you isolate the bits he done well. He tried (and failed) three times to get Bradford (Favourites every year) promoted from League Two. And this myth about him constantly losing his best players is disingenuous. He may have lost the likes of Law and Higdon but he replaced them with McFadden & John Sutton.

Is Holloway not employed we wont be paying compensation for our next manager it will be someone unemployed which rules out big Eck too

He's currently toiling as milwall boss 1 point above the relegation places.

So yes would be the answer to my question unless they fire him we wont be taking him as our manager and swapping one struggling manager for another doesn't seem like a great plan albeit Holloway has done well in the past on little money
