allys contract.

Recommended Posts

He isnt untouchable, he has a pretty standard rolling 1 year contract.

You can still sack him or put him on Gardening Leave.

It is up to the board to act. Doesnt seem to be a priority for them though.

so basically if we are stuck with him till June he will automatically have a further year

which will be 850k to pay him off, this of course assuming he doesn't do the honourable thing.

Just serve him notice of his termination on his rolling contract on 24th Dec 2014. Then he knows he will be going in 12 months from that date no matter if he beats the Dhims or gets promotion. He can then have a very Merry Christmas like the rest of us suffering bears! It's not like he will do any worse or less if he knows he is going.

High-level sports professionals, such as coaches, are often hired with rolling contracts. These contracts are generally for extended time periods. After the completion of the initial period, the university or the owner of a professional team can let the coach go, or the coach can quit on his own. If the contract continues for another year, the owner of the team can usually buy out the coach at any time by paying the monetary remainder of the contract.

It's the Boards fault right? Bomber?

Of course it is!

Ive been saying McCoist is useless for 3 years, anyone with half a brain could spot it.

The board should have known this and should have told him 12 months ago that his contract would be ended in 12 months. If they had done this, Ally would be serving his last few days as our manager with no pay off due.

That's interesting, I'd always taken a rolling contract to effectively have a years notice period but that reads like you can sack them and just pay the remainder of the current year, so if he went in January we'd pay until June which is bad but not as bad as a year . Who knows the exact terms of his contract though?
