BBC Complaints Dept Replies to a tim

I put in a complaint to the bbc about David Curries claim that they came out of administration.

Just got their response.

Thank you for getting in touch.

The company that owned Rangers went into liquidation but the club and assets were bought out of administration before the company was liquidated therefore this report is factually correct.

We were referring to the football team here and not the company that formerly owned it.

We frequently refer to the liquidation of the company that owned Rangers when reporting on business and finanical matters.

We will continue to refer to Rangers as the same club ; where we will make a distinction is between the old company and the company which currently controls the club’s assets. This is in line with the BBC Trust findings on the matter , Details of which are available at…..link.

Thank you , once again for taking the time to contact us.

Kind Regards

That's brilliant.

I love it when one of them gets so carried away with their obsession that they're left fuming to the extent they are moved to write a complaint, in order to rectify matters.

Even better when they the polite version of "Fuck off! You're talking pish, ya daftie! Everyone know they're the same Club!"

Ideologues care little for facts and prefer to keep their deluded heads stuffed firmly up their arses; they are divorced from reality.

The danger however, is that it's not just the mhuck who are perpetuating the lie - it's entire swathes of Scottish football who will exploit any avenue, no matter how groundless, in order to stab at us. Now more than ever it is essential that we protect the brand, and those responsible for our prospects had better realise it.
