They've genuinely been disbanded for telling the truth and not editing out bits of what Leach said. How pathetic are they?

The fan board were a bit naughty putting out what they did, if the rules had been agreed that both parties saw the minutes before they were published then this should have happened.

There were plenty other ways of releasing the T3B quote out there. They needed to box clever. Or they had had the alledged bullying attitude of the Main board up to their ears and just said feck it.

BL is an experienced director and a fool for thinking that was off the record, the fans have a right to know his opinions of prospective investors and the second highest shareholders in the club.

Who the fuck does he think he is?

He was also the director of a company in administration last year. I'm surprised how overlooked that fact has been.

Derek Llambias disbands Rangers Fans Board

RANGERS chief executive Derek Llambias has disbanded the Rangers Fans Board after a fall-out over the publication of the minutes of their last meeting.

Llambias emailed the group, which was set up last year after the "Ready to Listen" survey, yesterday to inform them of his decision.

The body issued a vote of no confidence in the board last month due to the club's failure to answer questions about the financial situation at Ibrox.

And this week Rangers issued a statement expressing disappointment the minutes of a meeting at the stadium last week had been made public without their permission.

A Rangers Fans Statement on Facebook revealed: "The RFB were contacted today by email from Mr Llambias to say that he was disbanding the current Rangers Fans Board and would revisit it after the EGM.

"The RFB have noted this and whilst awaiting developments will at this time continue to work together with the fans for the betterment of our great Club."

The post continued: "Can we remind all shareholding supporters to follow the Proxy Bear way and get your votes in by proxy now.

"Every vote counts. It's imperative that the EGM goes ahead smoothly and delivers a result.

"The RFB would like to thank all supporters for their words of support and encouragement."

Meanwhile, the board today denied they broke club rules by publishing the incendiary minutes of their meeting with Ibrox directors this week.

The detailed account of the gathering showed that Llambias had branded the behaviour of shareholders at the AGM "a disgrace".

The club released a statement that read: "These minutes have not been seen or approved by the Rangers board. We are very disappointed by the behaviour of the existing fans' board."

But one member of the fans board, who did not want to be named, told SportTimes they had followed the normal procedure.

The source said: "I wasn't aware that (getting the board's approval) was the protocol for publishing the minutes.

"As far as I understood it in the past, the minutes were sent to Rangers at the same time as they were posted on Facebook."

The Rangers Fans Board member expressed sadness that the group, which was set up last year after the Ready to Listen survey, was to be disbanded.

And the source warned the club they need to engage with their customers if they hope to bring an end to the off-field unrest and move forward.

The board member said: "I wouldn't say the relationship between the fans board and the club has been strained, but it has been difficult in terms of communication and getting answers to questions.

"You have got to reflect and remember the fans' board was set up under former chief executive Graham Wallace. The current board inherited us.

"But we have all given up a lot of time and effort to support our football club and ask questions the fans want to ask.

"We put ourselves forward because we're Rangers supporters and we wanted to do something to help the club. We weren't in it for any personal glory.

"How is the club going to move on if it doesn't work closely with the fans? That is a question the club has to ask itself. I think communicating with the fan base is absolutely vital to whoever is in charge."

Fan ownership group Rangers First has revealed its members, who number nearly 11,000 will vote overwhelmingly to boot the board out.

They are also emphatically in favour of installing major shareholder Dave King, former director Paul Murray and John Gilligan onto the board.

The club announced the general meeting will be held at Ibrox on a date that has still to be confirmed - but that looks likely to be Thursday, March 5.
