there'sonlyoneamoruso 1,724
Yes, but I do hope he gives youth a chance. If he choses in form players rather than experienced players that aren't preforming that would do me.
Turnberry18 3,204
I was happy when I heard he was in, but after watching his press conference I became delighted. This job is his for the taking, and if he does it this season then he should be given a chance in the top league.

Murtaugh 47
He spoke very well at his 1st press conference
1873bear 192
Yes happy, if he does well maybe it could be permanent.
Zappa6995 3,644
As others have said if he gets us promoted he should be allowed to keep the job for a further year at least.Good luck to him .
Steve_Wilkos 0
Yes, can't be worse than McDowell and will be doing his all to earn a longer deal for himself.
trains 588
Been saying for yonks that he was needed until the end of the season and its a sensible move at little cost and I am 100% behind him.Viva McCall
trains 588
i voted no, i want Ian Cathro to get the job, but if McCall is only here till the summer he will get my full support, but if he picks McCulloch this saturday then my support stops !But what if he picks McCulloch and he goes on to score a hat trick, he sets up our other three goals and out paces everyone on the park? Davy 73 31
Does the situation where the newcastle boys when fit must be played still remain?
LegendofCoop 17,252
Yes.This is the ideal short term candidate.
Orange&Blue 130
Yes, should have been brought in a long time ago.
OlegKuznetsov 10,816
Does the situation where the newcastle boys when fit must be played still remain?I very much doubt that it was in the contracts. I reckon McDowall's comments implied he was told verbally by Llambias.
OlegKuznetsov 10,816
Although I'd like to have seen him here before Xmas, he has seen almost all of our recent games and can judge those players fairly accurately purely on the basis of performances.I wanted this appointment and was delighted when it happened and that press conference was very heartening indeed. In fact, let's watch it again. A Gallant Pioneer 555
Can't believe 34 are not happy. What did you expect? He wasn't my first choice but my goodness, this is a million miles better than McCoist and McDowall. Please support him, go to the match at the weekend and offer your full support. I am most excited about his first line up. Interested in what he is going to do, drop and pick. Wingers, attack, 2 up front, how are we going to play. I can't wait. He knows the state, he knows what needs done and i think he has been told to get us up and i believe he will. Best of luck the Ginger Makelele
JMac_88 310
Spoke well in his first press conference. You are right this kind of appointment should of been made ages ago, maybe even before Tuesdays game just passed.Amazing seeing Dave King speak to Jim White a-day ago saying that basically change was needed and less than 24-hours later McCall is in the job.Obviously McCall was in mind for awhile, just seems very quick for things to come together in my eyes! Too quick in fact.
coatbrigpirate 23
Glad its him and not Billy Davies tbh, good talker a like what he has to say so hopefully he can get something through to these numb nuts on the park
kelvd1873 7,133
Absolutely!!! I hope he seizes the opportunity to engrain attractive football with youngsters in the line up. It's not exactly a clean slate due to the squad McCoist left him but if progress is shown for the remainder of the season id love Mr McCall to be offered the role full time. foghorn leghorn 608
Can one of the 34 please explain why they said no? Motherwell sold all their decent players and that's why he eventually left. McCall won't be a bessy mate like Ally, Durranty and McDowall were with the under performing listless players.
