We hear about Teachers bedding their pupils yet they get off with a slap on the wrists and lose their careers…that’s it. What is the difference between those people and Adam Johnston? To me it’s because it’s a high profile case and he is a male. The courts and law in this country are hugely sexist when it comes to this kind of crime and it’s getting swept under the carpet. Well he's appealing so I suppose we'll find out if the judge has been over enthusiastic, but like I say they mentioned that the judge had been informed of other things and don't forget he initially called the girl a liar and the girl has been subject to all sorts of abuse since, just because he's a famous footballer. Saw on the news last year that he was caught with over 10k child porn pics on his pc. He only got 3 years 6 months in prison.
