Mark Warburton: 1/2

David Weir: 5/2

Derek McInnes: 4/1

Alex McLiesh: 6

Sttuart McCall: 8

Billy Davies: 14

Felix McGath: 14

Dick Adovcaat: 16

Ian Cathro: 16

Looks like bookies confident it will be Mark, possibly taking Davie Weir with him as Assist. Manager?

Warburton has an impressive CV, he's occupied different roles in the game, in development, he established a European u21 competition named NExtGen which was defunct when UEFA finally created an official one. He held a Director of Football role before his great success at Brentford, gaining them promotion to the Championship last season, then reach the playoffs this season with an outstanding 5th place finish.

His 2 seasons in charge, with Daie Weir his no.2, a 52% win rate, with a small club in 2 hugely competitive leagues.

Why did he leave Brentford?

Owner is a headbanger. He's structuring a new management infrastructure based around a mathematical algorithm, i think that also extended to picking the team. Warburton was on a 1 year rolling contract and seen it out.

Warburton has no track record in management that says he should get a job with us. Big no from me.

OK sure he's only had 2 seasons in management, but they were 2 outstanding seasons.

Asking for someone who is as talented, plays great football and is hugely experienced mght be a big ask to come manage in the Scottish Championship. You have Ancelotti in mind?

at least he`s been a manager for more than 2 years.

What Warburton did with Brentofrd over the last 2 years is a much greater success than McInnes with Aberdeen.

Prior to that Warburton was in a DoF & Development roles while Derek McInnes was establishing a club record of 15 consecutive losses with Bristol.

So I can see your logic of Derek having an extra 4 years of failed management experience being a decisive factor.............

Worked wonders with Brentford on a shoestring budget. He's a man that if we give him something to work with and let him put forward his vision for the long term then this could be a great appointment.

We need to rebuild an entire team, we need to appoint a manager this week.

The infrastructure should have been in place already with scouting and backroom staff and coaches already appointed.

Cant see why that has not been done.

In probably one of the most difficult leagues in the world

Managing Rangers is probably one of the most difficult jobs in Football we wont tolerate losers or players not doing their best.

Brentfords a fucking backwater.

Stuart McCall finished 2nd and 3rd twice in the Spl. You could claim they were "outstanding seasons"
