...Who would compliment Warburton's starting XI.

So going by the Gaffers Brentford side it came down to a couple of attributes; ability on the ball and fitness. So which 3 previous players would you pick to go into his side? If you can try and pick a defender, midfielder and striker.

I'll go for; Numan, Ferguson & Gascoigne.

Numan for his ability to attack down the wing, along with his great engine.

Ferguson, in his first stint, down to the age he came into the side and also his pure footballing talent, not to mention the leadership he provided.

Gazza speaks for himself, an unbelievable footballer.

I cheated slightly as Gazza was more of a midfielder, so over to you. :pipe:

Alan Hutton. Just the way he used to bomb forward and imo was actually a really good defender as well.

Brian Laudrup. Skilful and literally had everything you could ask for in a midfield forward.

Dado Prso. Big target man to play the lone striker in a 3. Maybe lacked pace but he more than made up for in effort and technical ability. And because I loved the guy hence the name

Davie Robertson, Sir Brian Laudrup and Dado Prso.

Davie Robertson - The relationship Robertson and Laudrup had was incredible. Robertson had great pace, fantastic fitness levels, solid defender and provided many assists.

Brian Laudrup - Pace, power, skill, height, strength, awareness, vision, assists, goals, touch, both footed, class, role model and a big handsome bastard to boot. He had it all. The best I've ever seen. Simply the best. My hero.

Dado Prso - Basically Miller & Novo, Hateley and Jelavic all rolled into one (although Hateley was far superior to the other 3). What I mean by that is he never stopped running, fighting, had heart, hunger, fight, desire, passion, would put his head in were it hurts, could hold up the ball but at the same time had fantastic feet and great technical ability. I only wish we got him younger and without his injury problems......

In terms of work ethic, comfort on the ball, mobility and athleticism, the one that jumps out to me is Van Bronkhorst.

I'd go...

Van Bronkhorst

Mols

Stevens

Jardine - we need a RB and his attitude, professionalism and hunger to succeed would fit any system.

Gascoigne - we need a creative midfielder and a dead ball specialist. Also the man was class, so much strength, vision and ability on the ball. A real attacking threat.

Laudrup - For me the most talented player we've ever had. Speed, skill, two footed made it all look easy.

Some great players who probably wouldn't ?

Butcher, Baxter and Duncan Ferguson.

You'll have Warbo choking on his morning toast!

My three would be:

Gough at the back for his fitness, attitude, commitment, leadership and Grade A professionalism. 'Nuff said.

Caniggia at his peak on the flank for his blistering pace and the ability to look utterly knackered just before going all the way through the gears and utterly vaccinating the opposing full back.

Arveladze up front for his quick feet, speed of thought and his fluidity and movement in and around the box. Also has one of the best goals-per-game ratios in modern European football.
