Gaz52 11,837
I knew from watching him play before and Mark's (the RM Wigan fan) scouting report on him that he was a good footballer with a tremendous work rate, pretty good with the ball at his feet, eye for a pass etc...I knew we were getting a good player but I did have my doubts whether or not he would bang in the goals week in week out but the stats speak for themselves, he'll probably go on to hit 25+ in my honest opinion, the way he puts penalties away is brilliant and the we play football now we force the opposition in to committing fouls inside the area so there will always be that chance. Even the goals he scores from open play are done with a touch of class, yeah fair enough he's missed a few but what striker doesn't?I'm more than happy with the big man and that my doubts were all wrong about him, what a player we've got here
IainB 599
In a match where most of the team seemed to have gone off the boil today he was my MoM.
JukeBoxJohn 3,060
Quality player.
LeeWallaceRFC 3,920
Technically, the best player we have by some distance. Class player. Creates opportunities for both himself and the team out of absolutely nothing. Delighted to have him.
SeparateEntityMyArse 53,277
Said at the start of the season he could get 40+ for us if he stays fit. Stick by this. He's not even an out and out goalscorer either imo.Love the big man. He'll do for me.
Creampuff 22,628
He's a quality all-round footballer. Works hard for the team, too.
WATBB 1,524
Fucking love oor Waggy.Team looked devoid of ideas for a bit, and big Waghorn the brick shithouse that he is says "Naw, fuck this!" bangs it, and it rattles the back of the net. Fucking yass.
simplythebest 11,453
Brilliant footballer and his goal record is looking good especially considering there was doubt over his finishing ability
Turnberry18 3,204
His touch is excellent. Hopefully scoring for Rangers on a regular basis and playing every week create in him the confidence that he may have lacked in the past. BridgeIsBlue 66,498
Like Halliday said in his interview we've found a 20 goals a season striker in Waghorn.
A Gallant Pioneer 555
When he's banging them in from open play against Celtic and Aberdeen then you can say you were wrong.
Malvern 11,329
Well that goal today had me thinking I was seeing things, seems he is better coming in from the right and ripping people a new one.Great player to have in the team. BigSeboo 9
It's weird though cuz he's not even playing as a true striker. He drops back a lot, but has still managed 11 goals. Very impressed so far
markem 7,238
When he's banging them in from open play against Celtic and Aberdeen then you can say you were wrong. Take your point greater tests will come however if the OP doubted Waghorn would bang in goals week in week out then he he is right in saying his doubts have been proven unfounded.Long may it continue. Barasa 802
I thought he should be further forward, but when we are playing every game in & around the opposition's box that wouldn't be obvious. We will see when we are back the pitch more.Nicky Clark has been pish at times, but gets himself chances more.

scottyscott1963 18,020
This boy is the real deal.Nutmegs and letting defenders commit themselves as he slows the ball down is his trade marks. Knew this boy would turn out good as soon as he found his shooting boots.Really impressed with the Wagster. Did someone mention daly. Thank F'ck he's a goner. K.A.I 36,183
It was Halliday I doubted. He was the one I was underwhelmed by, but by God he's a class act.
gogzy 31,195
It was Halliday I doubted. He was the one I was underwhelmed by, but by God he's a class act.Was going to post the same thing. He has totally surprised me, could easily go on to be a huge player for us, and seems the type that won't jump ship for more money. A rarity in the modern game.

WATBB 1,524
Oddly I never doubted Halliday.I seen that pinger he hit against Chelsea for Bradford in the FA Cup and thought... if he can do that for us, we're in good shape. Edit: Funnily enough, he did do that for us, in his debut.
