*** The Official Hibs V Rangers Match Thread ***

Recommended Posts

this is now a massive test for Warburton and Weir - we have not been playing well but picking up results, now we haven't got a result it will be interesting to see what he does.

Should have had a penalty but should have been able to take more than one of the chances created - only played for a short spell in the second half then got sloppy again, hibs were shite but we couldn't deal with their midfield

Hibs were so fucking lucky to get the points there. Turned off as I have no intention of watching Stubbs crow.

We have to be more clinical, and we need to be asking questions about the two young loan lads. I honestly thought they hampered us today. They both started extremely well when the came, but with every game they seem to be less effective.

Regarding Wes, I honesty think that was his first real mistake and he at least saved from the one on one, so don't want to blame him.

The title race is on again it seems, but we are still very much in control.

We were never going to go through the whole season without dropping points but didn't take our chances, hit woodwork twice and flapping keeper at a corner when he's been great at cross balls all season. Not our day but the reality is we're 5 points clear of them and they were shite today, outpassed and outplayed them but they had more dig about them and took their chance.

Not being clinical in front of goal was always going to bite us in the arse one week.

Waggy had the chance in the 88th minute to get us the draw. Really should have finished it, great ball from Tav who was pretty anonymous aside from that.

Ah well, pick ourselves up and we go again.

Before all the doom and gloom merchants stop by to tell us how pish we were lets look at it realistically.

We were not great first half but much better second

It was an extremely tight game in our most difficult fixture and we lost because we gave away a silly goal at a set piece and didn't get a break of the ball when we were well on top and should have scored 3 or 4.

We will still win more games than they will and we will still win the league

No point throwing the dummy oot the pram

By the sounds of some we are in a crisis.

18 games. 16 wins. 2 losses. Scored 54. Conceded 13. 5 points clear at the top of the league.

There are obviously areas of concern, but we are nowhere near as woeful as some profess on this thread.

Been coming for a few weeks now.

Not good enough and the decision to call off the Dumbarton game because of a few calls up for a bunch of kids is ludicrous IMO. All of a sudden that gap becomes 2 points, regardless of the game in hand.

Work needs done on a plan B.

Tactically outdone by Stubbs. Does it get any worse?

Did he tactically enlarge the bar and the crossbar, and tactically ensure Oxley saved them on at least 2 occasions?

Did he slip the ref a bundle to deny a first minute penalty?

We should have won that.

They won a home game so fucking what?

We were the better football side, our defense is a weakness, the boss changed things 2nd half and it worked for a spell.

We need a target man a big striker

Still top and on course for the title

MON THE GERS
