Is There A Witch Hunt After Mark Warburton?

I've watched the majority of Mark's press conferences and interviews ever since he became our manager, and in every single one, he has conducted himself with calmness and professional, despite some very poor and repetitive questions from our countries 'journalists'.

This makes the treatment of him during the past few days disappointing to say the least, but perhaps not surprising.

First of all we had the BBC produce and publicly stick by the Fulham story, which has no substantial evidence or quotes behind it (other than "he's not confirmed he's definitely not going").

Then we had Keith Jackson's article in the Daily Record today claiming that Warburton "went off on one" during his press conference yesterday (another statement that couldn't be further from the truth if you watch the footage

), and questioning how he would cope during a crisis (yes, he's praying it goes tits up again).

I also find it confusing, but again not surprising, that we've seen the likes of Ronny Delia and Mark McGhee ranting and raving in the media in the past few weeks, but there appears to be no criticism of them.

Is Warburton being slated for having the audacity the stand up to the journalists and expose their inaccuracies (putting it politely)?

Did they this to Ally?

Answer is no,because he was a shit manager.

Allys answer to everything was "absolutely!" - so no need to go after him - they had his measure.

MW is a different beast.

I dont think its a witch hunt, but they dont like anyone casting aspirations on their work ethic and integrity (sorry started to laugh their) and are getting some low blow jabs in.

Any "journalist" in this country cry's blue murder when things don't go their way. Warburton has never gave them a sniff of any personal attacks on other managers, talking down other teams or disharmony in the squad or boardroom so they take his words and mix it into something they can claim happened.

2 instances there compared to just about every press conference MW has had since coming here.

You know as well as I do there's more than that. The sparkys "dossier" being another, the reaction to the old firm "shame game".

Other than the Fulham stuff I've not seen anything aimed at MW that could be called a witch hunt. Shite questions definitely but not a witch hunt.

(tu)

It's clear as day the tim ridden Scottish media want him gone because they know he will slap wee rhonny about with a fraction of the budget available to him.

Will make that next title so much sweeter. You can almost taste their delicious fenian tears.

Well he is calling the cunts liars and incompetents, you just can't do that to Scottish Journos, they'll close ranks and go for your throat and all because they have a wee union card and when did the truth ever matter to them.

Welcome to Scotland boss.

Wouldn't limit it to Scotland, although, obviously a very particular case with all things anti Rangers here

Glad there are some bastions of truth left when it comes to unbiased, solid Rangers reporting. Hello, Dude :D
