Rangers director Paul Murray says the £5m loan owed to Mike Ashley's Sports Direct retail company will be repaid.

Murray told BBC Scotland that the money has been lodged with the Scottish Championship club's solicitors.

The Ibrox director also said that Rangers would spend "whatever is required" to ensure promotion to the top flight.

Until we have a share issue, find a money tree, win the lottery or are given EPL money as a gesture of good will by Sky then that is how it will be.

It is not ideal but we are fortunate that we have people willing to do that until such time as all the other issues are sorted out.

We had an excellent transfer window in the summer with the balance between bringing in the right players and spending in the first division spot on.

Dont see why we cant have an equally exiting January window, esp with Frank Mcparland's imput added to Marks.

Looking forward to it personally, dont really see much to moan about.
