The head in the sand brigade are the same idiots who defended McCoist on all the social media platforms until the bitter end. Warburton is making glaringly obvious mistakes and still they fall over themselves to make excuses for him.

We're top of the league.

Panic merchants everywhere.

correct!

and, aye, some of the results lately have produced the panic merchants.

some of the disillusioned are also sayin', '.. and... Falkirk didn't sit back!'

they did sit back and tried to hit us on the break.

we had 68% possession and 17 shots to their 5.

we dominated except for goals.

and it's been the same against just about every team this year.

goals are in us as we've shown

and our domination will pay off in even more in goals when Warb's completely new system's been given more than 5 months to develop.

one of the really big pluses for the league table getting close is that it exposes our young players to the kind of pressure they will face in places like the paedodome next season.

and there is also another massive plus that the panic merchants don't get.

I've been around long enough to have watched Rangers completely dominate scottish football often.

and then watch the same team get nowhere in europe, losing to nobodies from shite leagues.

the reason for this was our deficiency in tactical football.

Warbs is a revolution, introducing the kind of football that will make us successful at home and in europe.

most of the panic merchants, like the most of scotland, can't see passed route one football - the kind of football that has embarrassed scotland in europe for a very long time.

we are playing some beautiful football.

what is required is patience and support for a manager we are very lucky to have.

I just love the misguided arrogance of the "we're fine, you're just hysterical simpletons" brigade. Fact is the football has been poor for weeks as shown by the results and the position in the league table. The early season form can be well and truly forgotten, I'm just grateful that it provided such a good start because from here on it's going to be more of the same each week - unless changes are made.

If however you prefer to belittle anyone who dares to be critical then carry on, believe whatever makes you happiest.

What position in the league table would that be? we need freshened up and strengthened for sure but we are sitting top of the pile.

We can't get anyone in till January so all this shite about needing this and that is speculation . Let's see what happens and stay behind the team. NO SURRENDER . WATP

Thats the attitude right there of those very people. Only just top btw. We should be out of sight in all seriousness.

You can't dispute that fact though. We are top of the league and will be 3 points clear again after we beat hibs.

Out of interest, which young players are these? Most of our players are 24+, that is not a young player. The youngest players who are getting a game for us (Ball, Oduwa and Zelalem) will likely not be here for game at the paedodome, so I don't really see the benefit of exposing them to the kind of pressure they may face at the Emirates, White Hart Lane, Old Trafford etc, in the unlikely event they get a game with their parent clubs next season.

Have we honestly been reduced to such a joke of a club that we are in awe of a man who got a promoted team a mid - table position with a few upsets along the way, and then bottled it at the end of the season?

He's a good manager, and miles better than Ally, but people are going on here as if the sun shines out of his arse.

He has a lot to prove and the next month will decide whether or not he is good enough to manage us

We are still in the early stages of the rebuild of the team after the Ally car crash. Maybe we were to good too soon for some. Well i'm glad the possible 'problem' has happened now and not at the end of the season. Plenty time to sort things out and some new faces to improve the team in January. Just coz we draw and loose the odd game doesn't alter the fact that we are the best team in the league.

Yes, we are top but not racing away as we were some weeks ago. At that time there was no question of being pushed into second place any time soon which there is now. Is that not glaringly obvious?

A bit of common sense among the abuse, accusations and hyperbole. Managerially Warburton is a nobody. A decent reputation which he is beginning to make a mockery of at Rangers.

If you keep doing the same thing over and over and keep getting poorer results it's illogical to think they will suddenly get better.

If plan A is has a basic flaw in its make up, it will always have a flaw no matter what you do to it. If you go for a thin squad other teams will just do their best to injure your players and you'll be left without cover. Think how bad it could have been if Waghorn had been out with an injury. We can only hope that Warburton is able to see what the obvious flaws are with his plan A and brings in the sort of players to strengthen the squad and allow us to go to a plan B against the teams who will sit in. If he does that they'll know they will be on a beating if they sit in and might as well come out and at least try and play open football. Then and only then will we be able to adapt and revert to plan A when they do.

There is a world of difference between the Plan as in a strategy and the people who implement it, how each individual implementaion is carried out and the details of who is implemeting each particular aspect. Plan A is an ethos, a philosophy. It is not a specific set of moves carried out by the sma eguys each time at each stage.
