RANGERS can today confirm that Jason Holt and Andy Halliday have signed new contracts with the club.

Both players have secured their futures at Ibrox by signing deals with the club until the summer of 2020.

Halliday signed for the club after a successful trial period in July this season on a two year deal with an option for the third.

Halliday grew up just metres away from Ibrox and the midfielder was a member of the Rangers Academy until he was 15-years-old.

He then moved to Livingston, before joining Middlesbrough under Gordon Strachan and then playing for Barry Ferguson at Blackpool prior to spells with Walsall and Bradford.

Midfielder Halliday has played in every game this season apart from the cup match against Ayr United, scoring five times.

Holt was Mark Warburton‘s seventh acquisition of the summer when he signed a three year deal with the club in July this year.

The former Hearts man had been on trial at the club and impressed the new manager to earn himself a contract – scoring in a pre-season friendly win over Ayr United.

He has played in 25 games already this season, bagging an impressive nine goals from midfield including that famous double against Hibs in December.

Can you imagine how easy contract negotiations with Halliday are....

Great news all round.

Rangers: "sign this Andy"

Halliday: "done and done."

Looking forward to seeing Halliday in a more advanced role in midfield..

I really like AH, not just because he's a die hard Rangers man but because his talent is clear to see. Definitely will be more utilised in a more advanced position, he needs to hit more shots though that's all I'd say

Hus shooting will be an asset when teams are camped along 18 yard line..

He'll be our penalty taker soon as well probably..

3 yea deal mate, with option of 4th year

Ah well in that case, he isn't a priority.

Thought we had signed a couple on one year deals, must be mistaken :D

Glad we have tied both down to long deals, means anyone sniffing about them would have to pay a bit more.
