Good find and great watching some of the old players like Martin Henderson and Johnny Hamilton but can't think who No7 is that scored the last goal. Doesn't look like Tommy McLean.

Anybody ?

Edit. Ian McDougal ?

Looks a lot like Bobby McKean mate

I have a picture somewhere of Jim Forrest scoring a goal in an all white strip. Interestingly I think it was against Real Madrid at Ibrox

I don't think it was against Real Madrid,Iain, because we only played against Real once in the 1963-64 EC where they defeated us 1-0 and we played in our normal blue shirts.

If I remember correctly we lost 3-1 in Milan with Jim Forrest scoring our goal, but Inter scored 3 goals in 3 minutes against us before Forrest pulled one back. In the return leg we won 1-0 with Forrest scoring again. I'm pretty sure Inter went on to win the final that year.

This was the Quarter Finals and Jim Forrest scored In 7 minutes in the 2nd leg , so we had a good amount of time to try and get that equaliser . I'm sure the previous round was when Jim Baxter broke his leg , and who knows what difference that would have made .

As you say , Inter Milan went on to win the cup that year , but just can't help but feel what if . . . . . .

Yea mate! you are correct in what you say. On a freezing December day in Vienna where the snow had been falling in torrents Baxter ripped the pish out of big Walter Skocik all evening until Baxter made him look stupid once too often and would probably have tried it again, but Skocik had had enough of it and did a leg snapper on Slim Jim late on in the game.

Yes that is the one. The tops in those days did not have any badges or names of course just the team number.
