Dom Ball: Loan spell at Ibrox can help me be Champions League star with Tottenham

Why do people think he won't make it at Spurs? Seems a ludicrous claim.

Harry Kane was no superstar until he'd finished a few loan spells and then ended up back at Spurs. He kept working hard until he got his chance. There's no reason Ball can't go on and play for Spurs.

Wishful thinking on their part I'd say. Many have already convinced themselves he'll be staying here and need to justify that opinion now we know he isn't out of contract in the summer.

If Spurs extend is contract he's certainly a player I'd welcome back on loan of Spurs were up for it. If we are up next season challenging for the title then that can only be a positive selling point. They may want him to go to a Championship team with a similar footballing philosophy but all ifs and maybes.

I wouldn't worry about it to be honest, it will be Spurs who decide his next move, i don't think he is anywhere near first team material for Spurs at the moment and they may feel the same, come the end of the summer window he could be loaned back to us for another season.

That's a very good point and a good parallel to draw as Kyle was also a promising youth international who played the same positions.

He played more games for us than he has for anyone else. In fact, given the chance to return, he'd probably bite your hand off.

Bartley was rotten imo, Ball is ok but no future EPL star.
