BEE 4,880
http://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/madden-apology-meant-much Give the site the hits. Madden has got it in the neck on here, perhaps deservedly - but that shows a touch of class.
K.A.I 36,183
Madden is a terrible ref but he's a bluenose (believe it or not) and has showed a touch of class there by apologising. Fair do's.
AlBear. 8,499
Aye fair play to him. The wee ginger cunt should be apologising too.
Inigo 32,526
I actually think he's a decent ref. One of the better ones. That particular error was an easy one to make from the angle he was at.
Dutchy 1,200
In a lot of senses you can't blame him for the play acting of a so called fellow professional, I don't hear him apologising. And it might have been a good game for the linesman to raise his flag, or do they only see guys in blue shirts doing wrong. Not that pumping your fist in the middle of the field is wrong. Bad Robot 21,141
It's also good that Andy has recognised that he needs to watch what he's doing and doesn't gives any refs an excuse although action speaks louder than words.
SuperPapac05 3,383
The ref was conned in that game. I'd demand an apology from that 'official' who sent him off against Morton.

The so called fellow pro actually said Halliday deserved a red card.

Touch of class from Madden not to send him off for Chelsea

siddiqi_drinker 14,635
Fair play to Madden. Football needs to make better use of technology to mitigate against this type of error.
BlueAvenger 10,208
Awful referee who's nearly as bad as Craig Thomson.
A.T.G 10,773
Credit to the bald man The Morton sending off though, the ref doesn't need to apologise for that though He should retire instead

sandyinroyalblue 16,478
Thankfully a ridiculous decision that didn't cost us in that game,Madden was big enough to admit his mistake so move on.

ritchieshearercaldow 22,123
Madden would been better admitting to Halliday that Fyvie was a cheating cunt.
Laudrup1984 25,100
Fair enough. From his angle it was difficult due to the wee cheating bastard that is Fyvie. That said, there was no contact so despite being in a very difficult position he could never have been 100% certain there was contact. He's made a mistake though. He's apologised. The card was rescinded. We won. Has anyone come out and made any form of apology with regard to the Morton sending off? Apologies if I've missed it.......... JWAC 2,234
Fuck fair-play to those cunts. It's not fair play when they're making decisions that other teams rarely face e.g. Barry Cook
WishartsAshes 1,137
Credit is due for making the apology but did it really have to take that long.
