The Ibrox Derry 8,887
With folks asking recently about pubs etc in other cities and holiday resorts around the world where they can watch the Rangers games from, this got me thinking where is the most bizarre or interesting place you have watched the Rangers from? For me, not a very a spectacular venue, but watched the 2001 League Cup Final v Ayr United in the Dublin Rangers Supporters club in the city. Was quite surreal having a sash bash and sing song there long into the early hours of the following morning. "If we go to Dublin we will follow on" right enough. rfc_watp 1,503
Watched a div3 game in New York. An old firm in Cyprus. Rangers v Hearts in Amsterdam. Div 2 game in Turkey. Got updates of an old firm in the middle of the South Atlantic ocean off the coast of Argentina or something.
Chineseboy 1,563
A little town in Northern Pakistan. Watched a game against the paedos there with a Crystal Palace fan. I think he actually hated then more than I did. Also watched one of our European matches alone in a little hotel in Kabul.

Iv watched a couple abroad, or down south. Guidance teacher let us watch a game in school circa 1999 valencia game. i guess it was an afternoo kick off unless i dreamt it. But i was in bath and annoyed that tv wasnt showing killie game. checked this forum and next thing my ten min bath was about an hour and 20 min long watching Periscope game. Refusing to move in case I lost signal and topping up water
Londonderry_Bear 111
3-0 queen of the south reverse, watched it on isla mujeres off Cancun. It's name means the island of women apparently...very misleading
Falkirk bear 1,020
Not so much watch the game, but danced about the forecourt of a petrol station in Hull during the last few minutes of the never to be forgotten helicopter Sunday. Pretty sure that the guy at the counter was going to phone the police as I danced in and out of the petrol pumps and made an attempt to jump a lottery sign, what a day indeed!!!! harlands plater 16,958
An Irish bar in Portugal, I had the place to myself so they put the Rangers game on for me on the big projector screen they normally used for GAA games.
K.A.I 36,183
Tough one tbh as I've went to most games in my lifetime that I could/wanted to. The Dundee United boycott was surreal was down in Newcastle for the Chelsea game with about 20 unsavoury individuals and watched it in a pub down there - that was the first game Id missed since the San Siro closed doors so that sticks out nice wee ruck with the Gremlins at the station after it and a Police escort on train all the way back to Glasgow
Gary Wilmot's Wedding Brek 299
Watched an old form game on an N95 in a hotel in Madrid. Watched loads of matches in various places in Asia, but that doesn't really seem that big a deal considering I live here.

TEFTONG 60,070
I was working in Manchester early 90's and my boss booked us into a B&B that was above a Bar called The Salutation near the colleges..Seemed an ok wee boozer the Landlady was very nice and was happy to let me sit in a corner watching Rangers play Clyde is a Scottish Cup tie..Now my memory is hazy as to the exact score..but I do remember getting my 10 bet up that night and my dancing and impromptu "bouncy" didn't go down too well with a bunch of plastic paddy left wing students..I stood my ground but was ushered up the stairs by the Landlady and her husband who feared the pub was going to get wrecked..Ahh the memories..She never spoke to me for the next 3 weeks we stayed there and refused to serve me in the bar ever again....her husband was happy to bring 4 pint pitchers up the stairs for me though... gmcf 34,090
Watched the full 1973 cup final v them in Saudi Arabia 8 days after the event. Once a week they put on the highlights of English league games on a Sunday night from the previous week ( not the previous day ) , the exception being the FA cup final , which was on the next night. A week later it was the full Scottish Cup Final so we all went to another house of fellow bluenoses to watch it together on their 14" black and white telly . The only time in 2 years I got to see Rangers

Bluebrows 42
UEFA cup final, Manchester, watched it from outside a pub through the window as it was too mobbed to get in anywhere. This happened because the helmets didn't turn the screen on at Piccadilly square after I had stood there for 10 hours making sure I had a prime spot. Still to this day have only seen 20 mins of that game. Fuckers!

Drumloyal 14,924
The 5-1 league clincher against Killie back in 2011. Watched it in the Jr ratings mess with about 100 of us and the sailors squeezed in aboard HMS Dragon. Had her out on trials and I was supposed to be on shift but the other sparks who weren't supporters covered for us. Mental watching a game while she was doing hard figure eights, the only downside was no booze. Celebrated properly when we docked back in Scotstoun a few days later though. The Ibrox Derry 8,887
This was about 25 years ago, was in Gran Canaria, Puerto Rico resort, the one with the Highlander Rangers pub, well it was called that then, just along from Linekers Bar, fuck remember them lol. Anyway it was a euro qualifying match and the satellite and signal went down so a hundred or so of us had to do with the Ceefax or teletext as it was then, with a good sing song along the way, mental, not even radio communications. PS for those under 25 Google Ceefax to see what im on about lol.
