What the fuck is this shit?

"Sorry sir, but we think there's a high chance that you'll punch your wife on Sunday, so we're removing you from your home".

POLICE in Glasgow are planning on removing domestic abusers from their homes ahead of the Old Firm derby this weekend.

Sunday’s match will be the first time Rangers and Celtic have played each other since February 2015, which saw them face-off in the League Cup semi-final, which Celtic won 2-nil.

In the past, Old Firm derbies have resulted in a spike in incidents of domestic abuse, but offices say this did not happen during and after last year’s match.

Police Scotland say serial offenders will be targeted ahead of Sunday’s Scottish Cup semi final.

The Times reports that people who are facing trial, charged with assault, or those who have been released on licence from prison will be the ones who detectives are interested in.

Detective Chief Inspector Sam McCluskey is head of the national Domestic Abuse Task Force. He told The Times: “What we’re trying to do is keep domestic abuse victims and their children safe. To do that, rather than managing the risk by just going out to attend incidents, we are trying to remove the risk by removing the perpetrator.

“What we’re going to try and do this time is capture some information around it that will be data that will allow us to actually measure whether or not it was related to the game, because now, we don’t know that.”

Officers are also keeping a close eye on known hooligans ahead of the Old Firm Scottish Cup semi final , checking what they’ve been saying in ‘locked’ fan forums.

Police want to avoid a repeat of the violent scenes seen the last time the two Glasgow giants met, which saw 37 arrests.

How long do we need to wait after the game before punching our wives isn't deemed football related? For example, can I punch her for burning the dinner around 6pm?

Just do it now mate, a preemtive strike

What a fucking weird article

If they know the people responsible why are they not already jailed?

Women end up dropping the charges. They also take them back after they've been punched black & blue. Sad reality of it

Bernadette likes this.

On a serious note I am all for the cops doing what they need to reduce domestic violence but they don't half moan about having to serve their purpose.  You would think they were the only big city force to have to deal with a big event.

37 arrests? Is that so bad all things considered?

Where are they planning on taking them?

I'm just trying to picture a group of blokes (and Mrs Sima) herded into a church hall somewhere, sitting round drinking tea and discussing their domestic abuse tendencies. Suddenly you spot one of our neighbours or a bloke you work with.

The Scottish police are an absolute shambles.   This is the same force that recently tweeted that hurtful untruths posted on the internet could see you get a visit from them right?

Moronic fuckwits.   It really is a shame that these fucking morons are in positions of power.

What vilent scenes? I don't remember that.    Asuuming it's a correct number though,  37 arrests isn't even that high,  and how many of those arrests actually resulted in charged being filed?

I just don't get this at all, they will remove these people during the football, but then return them to batter their partners and children because it is alright when there isn't football.

These people should be removed immediately from the victims, and if the victims take them back then they should not get to waste police time. If there is kids involved, then the kids should be removed.
