Well obviously I didn't see that part. But it's still embarrassing

Fucksake u and the ibrox preacher would get on well btw. It was all our fault we lost so we had to let the hibs scum on to celebrate and goad the support and attack our players, I hope we get a 5 million pound fine and hibs get to take our place in the top league. Would that do u? Maybe we wouldn't embarrass u. Fucking shambles the way our own go on at times. Who needs enemies?

Scottish FA Chief Executive Stewart Regan has condemned the behaviour of supporters which marred this afternoon’s William Hill Scottish Cup Final.

“Scottish FA is appalled by the scenes of disorder on the field immediately after full time and at the contemptible behaviour that ensued. What should have been an historic, memorable Scottish Cup final will now, sadly, be remembered for all the wrong reasons.

“Police Scotland and the stadium management initiated a Crisis Liaison Group as soon as the disorder began and we thank them for containing the situation as quickly as possible.

“The Scottish FA, along with Police Scotland and the stadium management have initiated a full investigation into the scenes that unfolded to understand how such a volume of supporters were able to enter the field."

Sweep sweep till we get enough evidence to blame Rangers.

As mentioned already the polis are that busy recording fans for singing they are totally unprepared for genuine issues, if one good thing comes out of today it`s that the cops showed themselves up to be incompetent twats once again.

Police Scotland - Another SNP brainfart

Hibernian fans ran directly towards the Rangers fans and started provoking , goading and throwing things at them. At the same time Rangers fans were witnessing their players being assaulted on the pitch.

All of this following on from Motherwell fans invading the pitch last season trying to do the same. Rangers fans have if anything shown incredible restraint especially seeing as we have lost both games to compound matters more.

RANGERS Football Club is shocked at the disgraceful behaviour of Hibs fans at full time.

Rangers players and staff were assaulted by these fans who invaded the pitch and in the interests of their safety could not return to the pitch for the medal presentation.

There can be no place for the violent behaviour witnessed at the end of the Final and Rangers fully expect the Scottish Football Association and Police Scotland to launch an investigation to find out where security measures failed.

The Club would like to commend Rangers fans for the restraint they showed under severe provocation.

I would have thought the police officer in charge should have called for back up, including horses immediately.

This might not be the right thread to put this on but anyway.............

I've now seen one post somewhere that seems to be quoting a newspaper as saying 6 (yes 6) Rangers players were assaulted plus DW.   If that's the case then that is simply staggering.  The scale of this then seems to me to contrast with the weak statement made by the SFA.  A statement which bears the hallmarks of having to say something but can't bring themselves to acknowledge that a sizeable group of Rangers players and staff were subjected to unmitigated assaults on a football pitch at a prestige game (the prestige game) run by the SFA.  Wow.  I mean just wow.   An indifference and disregard for player / staff welfare of breathtaking proportions by the SFA.  They (the SFA along with Hibs) should be hanging their heads in shame with resignations already submitted.

But probably more to the point are the injuries to our players and staff serious.   Any statement from Rangers on the extent of the assaults (how many people affected and how serious and how many needed medical attention)?     I'm assuming the Club will make a further statement later today on this.   Is the squad and staff still at Hampden, are they back at Ibrox?   Anyone know?

That SFA statement just sums up that shower of shite. The whole watching world saw it was the Hibs fans and only the Hibs fans that disgraced that cup final, but they use the word 'supporters' to indite both sets of fans. I hate those cunts so much.

hibs better be taking the full road. if we are made out to be the ones causing the trouble then i don't even know. a small number of our so called fans jumped on the pitch but by far it was the hibs "fans" who went onto the pitch, ripped it up, and broke the goals, AND ATTACKED OUR PLAYERS AND STAFF

fucking raging btw. if the SFA let this slide...

Several journalists have reported seeing our captain being repeatedly punched and kicked, along with other assaults on players and staff not shown on TV. Why didn't more of our fans run onto the pitch is the question.

Rangers fans are, very sadly, cowed by the adverse publicity instrumented by the msm at every turn!!! They have successfully emasculated us!!!
